I appreciate your video here, as PvP is definitely the most hated content in the game imo. I think people get frustrated because it’s a very different animal when compared to other PvP content in most other games, which is infuriating at times lol

Thanks for all the work you've put in! Your videos got me into playing multiple jobs in pvp. Before I would exclusively play one job from each role (MCH, AST and GNB), but now I'm always switching it up. I main ninja now, but my goal is to hit BH5 with every single job. I'm very close to hitting that goal and your videos have been crucial to pursuing that self-imposed achievement. Can't thank you enough

Great video

Paladin has become one of my favorite jobs. Its one of those jobs that really rewards aggressive play. Tanking in frontline is always a thankless job, and I find Paladin to be the most comfy if your team doesn't follow up. Even with the low damage output, I go in swinging with cofident and reckless abandon, often switching targets with each attack. Doing that, plus confiteor will net you a lot of assists if your team follows your push. I never focus kills on paladin in big fights. Just try to stay at the front as long as possible, putting out as much dps as possible. A great paladin is one that can take all the pressure exerted by the enemy team and redirect it right back at them.

Is this something you can do solo or with a team?

an example of these shown in more neutral lighting would help a lot. hard to evaluate things with some of the filtering/color balance (lots skewing pink)

Ah yes, the chiten fakeout. One of the most cheeky tactics of a skilled samurai Edit: Art our here looking like the adderall admiral. Double edit: Pro tip, get a pocket paladin for your LB dives. I'm convinced that if done right, a paladin/samurai combo could decimate in frontline. Also, challenge yourself to never use gekko unless you have no other option. It's a dps loss compared mangetsu, even on single target.

Something you can do on SAM if you're confident enough is to bind, then hit your gcd twice to go back to the combo start, and bind again. Once they're out of purify, you can prevent someone (like a BH3-5) from escaping while letting your team get some kills in. You can do it forever, but you're unlikely to kill anyone on your own like that, of course. You can also miss your aoe on any part of the combo and you'll reset back to the first hit, meaning you can get two binds in 4 seconds at the cost of basically all your dashes and if you're good with spacing* (unless you hold kaiten for a while before doing that.)

This was a good match where each team obviously wanted that W. Even if you don't win, if you go down swinging its fun. The only time losing bothers me is when my team just isn't trying at all, and then it's more about feeling like my time is wasted. literally one of the best rounds I ever played was older shatter where the end scores were: 2000, 1999 and 1998. I don't even remember if we won, it was just cool that it was so close XD.

I'm dubious about a lot of the "commanders" on the NA servers. Had a "commander" today kept leading us into ambushes set up by one of the other teams, loosing half our forces every time. After the 3rd time, it was obvious he was feeding us to the other team.

Thanks for having me :)! I actually like how you chose a run that had room for improvement. Just goes to show that mistakes can happen even with a DRK comp and some battles must still be hard fought depending on spawn luck and enemy pressure. The most important thing is to have fun with it and honestly just try your best to help the team, be it as a commander or simply valuable teammate!

Casual pvp is in a tough state at the moment as most people are just queing for the easy xp lowering the effort to win a game. Ive been queing daily with my AST as its one of my pvp only classes and is currently lvl 86 and boy let me tell you that my experiences over the last two weeks have been horrible. No coordination and you encounter a lot of premade teams (like your in the video) that are easily BH5 in the first 2 mins of the game. Dont get me wrong about premades, they are fun to run but frustrating to battle against lol. Your concent is always educational no matter how many kills you rack with your team!

I wish I had commanders. It'd be nice to actually play PvP modes with some people that have an idea of what to do. Two days ago, I was in a Frontline Roulette where my team ended with 0 points. How? In 10 years of playing this game I've never seen a team end with 0 points... I hated it.

I typically love commanders, but on Crystal there are premades that are infamous for being toxic. If I see them during my match I try to get as many OKO SAM LBs as I can or try to convince my alliance to use SCH to counter them😅

I love commanders. If we get second, it's close. Never a bad game if pvp when I good commander takes charge and people actually follow the instructions. Don't take much to win, just gotta believe in the battle high.
