I live in Norway. Failed my driving test because my examiner claimed "my speed was up and down". I did not drive in the city, only drove on country roads where the speed limit was nothing less than 60 kmh. I think my least speed was a 43 in a 60 zone and it was at a bend. What an unlucky day for me.

All well and good until a driver is watching their phone or looking the other way. As a pedestrian and add a cyclist, I've had two very narrow escapes now and I just don't trust car drivers - whatever the hierarchy is telling us. The last time, I managed to put an army out and hurdle the bonnet when the taxi driver decided not to wait AND she crossed into the opposite direction side of the road to nearly hit me.

Are you allowed to go on the middle reservation zebra crossing if the pedestrian is starting to cross on the opposite side of you or should we wait. Hope that makes sense

Shouldn't of changed the rule. Just learn people how to cross. Makes it loads safer all around 🤷‍♂️

After passing my test, I felt (most of the time) driving too quick to feel really comfortable, especially on rural roads. My driving instructor had always pushed me to go faster on these roads.

As a pedestrian, I really dislike this. I think it can put pressure on a person to cross. I'd prefer to wait til traffic has cleared and then cross. But when you have some one waiting or beckoning you to cross it can make you rush.

Observation is key to planning for hazards and what to do . I had a small tree branch across the road yesterday that i had to stop for as i had oncoming traffic. As i had to stop and cars behind I put the hazards as i was stopping to let cars behind know thier is a hazard in the roae . Their was that many cars coming . I decided to get out anr throw the branch into the side of the road as i couldn't clear the hazard and was only a small branch, but i wasn't going to drive over it . I then got back in my vehicle gwve the person a wave behind. Yes i could lewve it but then everyone following has a hazard that doesn't need to be thierane makes it safer for any following traffic

If you look at where you give way and the pedestrians cross you have a natural slowing into or up to the giveway line. It's not the main carriageway you need to to giveway. Unless they are on the road then you must stop or slow down.

It should become a maneuver

This happened in my driving test but they decided to stop and chat in the middle of the street. Meanwhile I'm sitting there with my a$$ out in the breeze...waiting! I'll swear my examiner was paying people to sabotage me that day.

The rule still does say "you *should*," not at all mandatory

Pot holes to make a claim the council have to have been notified 28 days im advance and have to do something about it . If no notication on record you can't claim even if it's being their for 4 months. It's extremely hard to claim. My brother hit one the dark and the impact was that severe the engine fuel system cut off. Avoid or strada as much as possible and if can't slow down and look at the path through which less bad

Do I have to hold the gas at 1.5 RPM as well as holding the bite point or do I just give the accelerator this "injection" to 1.5 and focus on the biting point? My old instructor told me to just focus on the clutch and not worry about the accelerator (I think his car was a diesel)

It is funny how for me my pulling up on the left was perfect in those early lessons and now it seems a bit rubbish (comparatively) haha. Thanks for the video 😊

If it is a squeeze and you decide to go because the other car is far away. Position right in the center and take away the opportunity the squeeze from the other car . You own all of that space or whoever is in it owns it. So twke control when needed or go its your spare.

In my area, there is no 'give way' sign painted on the road, nor are there designated lanes for left and right turns at the junction at the end of a one-way street. Instead, there is only a set of double broken white lines across the entire road, and the sign for Two way traffic crosses one way road.
