The Secret to Passive Income: Why I Choose Dividend Investing
Great analysis, thank you! Just a quick off-topic question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
Thank you! As for your question-I'm not too familiar with the technicalities of moving funds like that, so I'm afraid I can't give you a reliable answer. However, I recommend asking in crypto-focused forums or support groups like Reddit's r/CryptoCurrency or reaching out to OKX and Binance's support teams. They should be able to help you out!
Phenomenal progress🎉
Thank you!
Great summary! Thank you. What would you change in your portfolio if you knew that inflation is coming in a year?
Thank you! If I knew inflation was coming, I’d focus on hedges like REITs, commodities (gold, oil), and dividend growth stocks. I’d also consider Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities and maybe add more fixed-income assets, as interest rates often rise in high-inflation environments. At the same time, I’d reduce traditional bond exposure to avoid erosion. What’s your strategy for inflation?

Glad to see your growth. Any idea on brokers for foreigners?
Schwab or Interactive Brokers
@@Nimdividend Thank you.
I borrowed $12K to invest in YM. I have the money to pay it off asap, but I will use loans to beef up my account and use my work income to pay off the loan. I net about $13K every month from my job, and after all expenses, I have $6K remaining. The loan interest doesn't matter to me, because I plan to pay it off at the 4-6 month mark.
@@deltafox1 Sounds like a well-thought-out plan. Using loans to grow your investment and covering it with work income within a few months could work well. How has it been going so far?”

Interesting. How many portfolio do you have? It seems a lot of work by managing risk..
@@workerdee9244I keep all my stocks in a single portfolio, but in Snowball Analytics, I divide them into four. This approach makes it easier for me to manage and rebalance each portfolio.

Thanks for the feedback! 😄 I'll keep that in mind for future videos. Appreciate you watching!
Very interesting 🎉
Good diversification - however if you look at Nicholas X' other fund FIAX, apart of treasury income annual report, its options income isn't making money. Will probably hold out till GIAX releases its first semi-annual report to make sure its making money before taking a bite
How is it 24% Yield?
@@FinBotInsights If you annualize 0.4 cents (recent distributions) it's 24% yield.
GIAX just had it's 3rd distribution. The average of these 3 distributions is about $0.40 per month. Multiply that by 12 months, then divide by the current share price ($19.55 as of 10/24/2024), then multiply by 100. So: (($0.40 x 12) / $19.55) x 100 = 24.55%
@@HowHingPau That's correct. I was confused because they are talking about 15-20% yield in their prospectus.
@@FinBotInsights Yes. I saw that too. Perhaps they've been lucky with their options so far or perhaps they deliberately overpaid during GIAX's first months to garner initial investor interest. We'll see how it is after a few more months.
@@FinBotInsights Yes, you’re right; they do target 15%-20%, but they’re able to exceed that through option premiums, which they pass along to investors-a great added benefit.
Yeah I like the mix in this ETF
This ETF looks amazing, everything from everything, very interesting to see how it performs.
I am looking forward to see as well.
I looking into borrowing to invest in yieldmax and others. Your videos have been instrumental. Right now I have $110K invested and about $10K of that is high yield ETFs. My job's pretty safe and I get commissions as well...instead of using my money, I will take the loan and risk that. I will be able to pay off the loans at any time.
Glad to hear the videos have helped! Borrowing to invest can boost returns but also increases risk. Since your job is secure and you can pay off the loan anytime, you're in a better position, but make sure you're comfortable with the added risk. If you decide to move forward with this, start with a small amount at first-it's important not to get too aggressive right away. Have a plan in case the market underperforms, and keep an eye on those investments. Good luck and keep me posted!

Thank you, I'll keep update.
Would love to hear how much of the dividends you payback to cover the loan and how much is reinvested each month . Great work! Keep it coming
Thanks for the suggestion! I might start a monthly update about my loan status and progress, great idea!

Thank you for sharing your journey ! It is very inspirational. As always concise and educational. Have you thought about TSLP. It pays decent dividends and the NAV doesn’t decay much because they use different strategy than TSLY. I would like your thoughts about TSLP. Thank you!
I might shift some of my TSLY into TSLP in the future. Right now, I need the highest income possible to cover loan payments and still have excess to invest in other assets. Once I reach my goal and pay off my debt, I'll start shifting more into growth + income ETFs, including adjusting some of the high-yield positions in my portfolio.

Just after I recorded this video, Defiance announced they’re switching to weekly distributions for their ETFs $QQQY, $IWMY, and $JEPY, which is now $WDTE. Definitely worth checking out! www.sec.gov/ix?doc=/Archives/edgar/data/0001924868/000199937124011793/odte-497_091124.htm

Interesting. I only own quarterly and monthly stocks/ETFs.
Thanks for watching! Weekly dividend ETFs are a great way to complement your portfolio of quarterly and monthly payers. They can help boost cash flow and compound faster. It’s definitely worth exploring how weekly payments could fit into your income strategy!
Getting payed every week is great for income, but does it effective regarding taxes? If you get once a year, you pay less tax?
Taxes can vary depending on the country. In some places, you only pay taxes once a year at the end of the year, while others may have different rules. Accounts like Roth IRAs are tax-free or offer certain tax advantages, so it's important to consider your specific situation. It’s always a good idea to consult a tax advisor before investing to understand the implications based on your country’s tax laws.

Thank you for this recap. Very useful!
You're very welcome!
What do you think about TSLP?
@@joannab9854 I personally hold TSLY because I need the higher yield to cover my loan payments. However, I think it's important to note that TSLP captures more upside potential compared to TSLY. The reason for this is that TSLA stock is very volatile, and with big movements up, TSLY’s covered call strategy limits your gains significantly, meaning you can miss out on a lot of the stock's potential upside. That being said, TSLP allows for a bit more exposure to Tesla's price movements while still generating income. It’s a more balanced approach if you’re looking to capture growth as well as income. But again, this is just my opinion, not financial advice! It all depends on your specific goals and risk tolerance. 😊
if snowball could fix the issue with fidelity....
I actually type everything manually since my local broker isn’t supported by Snowball, but I still enjoy using the platform a lot!

Thank you for sharing your journey. I like how you divided different ETFs to major categories (Leveraged, Core, REITs etc). Are you planning to buy more shares of High Yield ETFs in your leveraged portfolio from dividends that you are receiving?
Thank you for the kind words! Right now, I’m using all the excess dividends, after covering loan payments, to invest in my other portfolios. I have a few more positions I want to add to my High Yield Dividends Portfolio, and there are also several positions I’m planning to buy in my Core Portfolio. However, I’m not ruling out the possibility of doing some DRIPing into my Leverage Portfolio in the future.
@@Nimdividend Many of the YMax ETFs have erosion in NAV. MSTY and CONY (I also own these two) might reach the peak when BTC has its own peak. Their price more likely will decrease with decrease of BTC price. Are you planning to sell MSTY and CONY at their peak or are they forever ETFs for you?
@@joannab9854 Since I purchased both CONY and MSTY entirely with loans, I currently rely on them to cover my loan payments. I still believe that Bitcoin has another bull run ahead, but once I’ve fully paid off the loans, I’ll reconsider whether to keep or sell them.
Nice portfolio! Very diverse
Waited for this video for ages!!🔥
Are these companies good only on bullish market?
They typically correlate with the overall market.
Great episode 😊 What happens to SVOL in a bear market? The value goes down Or the dividends are low?
You can refer to the 2022 bear market, where the S&P 500 dropped about 16% for the year, while SVOL experienced only a 3% decline (if you include the dividend payouts). The dividend amount did not change that year.
