Good info here overall. Customizing builder grade cabinets with refacing is the sweet spot. Most consumers think refacing is just a color change and some even think it is paint or stain. It is way more involved and can produce high end results with proper time care and attention to details. I use mostly solid hardwood products vs veneers or laminates but have all of them to offer.

Here in Florida I do cabinet refacing my average job is about $ 5,500 depending on the drawer and door count. We use Thermofoil doors and laminate the sides with vertical grade Wilson Art, normally it takes two day to complete a project if everything goes well. I have been passing up the new drawer business and just added this to our line of services. Custom drawers with full extension slides were costing me and average of $ 100 a drawer so I'm starting to make my own keeping the nice extra profit to my company, today I just finished a refacing job $ 7,500 with 42 inch doors and adding one custom cabinet and got an order for five wood drawer boxes replacing metal drawers for $ 800 I figure material cost at about $ 40 plus labor. I'm 82 years old and do the selling /installation along with my helper that works hard that I trained last year, without a good technician I could not do this type of work. I wish you the best of health and wealth. Just a side note, I have white shirts with name and logo and the American flag on the sleaves, people love the image, and I contract with 97 % of all sales presentations, the Lord is so good to me, I cant live on social security that's why I work.
