    I just picked up a used Skybox 21. Yeah don't by new. They are like boats and R.V's. Use them a few times and eventually they just sit and take up space because you don't use them anymore after a few times. Also most people will not likely take them off religiously and store them to avoid sunfade. And then there are the scratches you will probably get by moving it around. Just buy used.

    I think you have the wrong size. It's not the boot construction, it's the size that is causing you problems. Evidence of this is blisters well after broken in. The boot is too big. It's a common problem, many buy footwear that is not the correct size. I waited 2 weeks to get my 11 wides, because no store sold the wide versions. 11 regulars were too snug, and 11.5 were to long, my heel raised very noticeably in the back when I tried them on. If I had bought the 11.5s, I would be getting blisters regularly as well. 11 wide was it, and the wait was worth it. Perfect fit, extreme endurance. I just did a little 12 mile trek in the woods, on rugged terrain, off trail, and didn't even feel the need to take them off in the car. There was no foot fatigue. That's a properly fitted boot.

    • @backwoodsescape
      @backwoodsescape 16 дней назад

      It's possible, but I've never had this issue with any other boot brand and I know it's a common issue a lot of others experience with this same boot. That being said, I don't rule out the possibility that the size was off.

      I haven't been in the rain with this, but I've seen plenty of other videos where people are in the rain with this tipi and it works great. Seems like an enormous hassle to go through when it only got down into the 20s and it was otherwise good weather. If you were dressed warm and out of the wind, you should have been plenty warm in a tent, especially with two people in there. It does look like your sleeping gear was pretty light though. You should consider selling that fussy and dangerous wood stove and just getting better cold-weather rated sleeping bags and pads.

    I would really like to buy the waterproof one, but I had such a bad experience with my purchase of the 2.0 that I am just afraid I’ll be throwing my money away again. I believe that the BaerSkin 2.0 Hoodie was THE WORST GARMENT PURCHASE I'VE EVER MADE. I bought the hoodie in 3X and the body fits fine. But the arms on mine were made for some pencil man, they are stretched tight on my arms from my wrists to my shoulders so I can't wear it over a long sleeve shirt. I see your jacket's arms (and most other reviews on RUclips) look baggy. And the hood on mine is apparently made for a 50X hoodie as it hangs all the way over my head down to my chin. No adjustment on the back of the hoodie to adjust how far over your head it goes and mine seriously completely comes down to the bottom of my chin completely blocking my vision of anything in front of my feet, rendering the hoodie unwearable for me. I can get NO RESPONSE from their customer service. And from what I've heard from others, returning it is virtually impossible as you will pay more to ship it back to China than you paid for the hoodie and then they still might not refund your money.

    Baggy sleeves means you can stack some layers underneath it, if you want. I think it lets you be a little rough with it and it makes a better outer shell than cotton hoodies of my day. A good thick hoodie under a rain shell, nylon or canvas, has always been a go-to for me. I think the micro-fleece products do better in the damp and wet than the old cotton hoodies of yesteryear. But they layer much the same as the old cotton ones did, under a good rain shell. These do look very nice. Maybe almost too warm to actually do much work in. More for snuggling up when things settle down. I'll have to check how well it breathes.
