What is that sponge used for like ive seen that in wheeling pottery as well like whats the main use .
You can use it for lots of different things when it comes to pottery! Mainly it’s used to sponge water onto the clay!
Congratulations

Thanks! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
I'm just discovering this channel. I have a feeling you could do just as well, or even better in your business, by worrying less about what people think. You didn't say in the video how many copies you originally wanted, but if you wanted 100, and they needed to be a different size, there are polite, considerate ways of requesting corrections like that, not to mention, I'm sure they're used to customers requesting corrections. btw, your hair down 8 minutes in was like "AH!!". You could play that up a bit if you wanted. As a non-pottery person who's only watched a bunch of YT channels about it, your work and your process look really solid. Nice video!!
Thanks so much! I appreciate your feedback and thoughts!! Really means a lot
❤

Hey you just came up on my home page, can’t wait to watch your videos and I’ve just subscribed ❤❤❤
oh my gosh thank you!!! this is so sweet! 🥰 really appreciate you!
Its so hard when you put you're heart and soul into something and doesn't meet you're expectations. ❤ fellow potter here, I can relate so much to this, I just know that your pieces WILL sell at some point just not always right away as we hope. It's so frustrating being self-employed and income but please don't give up. The world needs your art. You will get to where you need to be!!!
girl! i appreciate this so much! thank you so much for your encouragement! ❤️ i appreciate having people who understand the struggles!!!
I have a lidded plastic container (like the ones you got from Kmart but smaller) and I put a piece of newspaper on the bottom and spray with water (just damp). Put the leather hard pieces in and give them a spritz and close the lid, and they'll be still workable a couple of days later. I hate period migraines, they are the worse. Mine only stopped after I had my daughter!
Aaahhh yes! I’ve heard of this before but never done it! I don’t know why I forgot about it! Thank you so much, I’ll give it a try! Yes, you get it!! It’s so hard to be a woman sometimes! 🥹 hopefully the same happens to me haha
Hello, fellow potter Here. Look into damp boxes for your pottery. Super easy and cheap to make yourself. Xx Robin
I’ve actually heard of this! Don’t know why i haven’t given it a try! Thanks for the reminder! ❤️
I am a 30 year old random guy from Germany and stumbled upon your channel absolutely randomly. Keep on going, you´d regret it if you don't. You are doing great, best of luck to you for everything
Thank you so much!! This is so kind and much appreciated! 😊 always nice to hear encouragement when it gets hard!!!
Loving your content 🌷. Just a suggestion, maybe you can add your website to the video description? It may help viewers have quicker access to your website if they’re interested in making a purchase. Wishing you all the best☺️🤍🤍
aaahh girl thank you so much! don’t know why i don’t already have it there! thank you so much for your help! ❤️
I loved the vlog ❤ I hope you're feeling better! Where exactly do you sell your pieces?
Thank you so much!! I sell my products on my online website or at markets on the northern beaches in Sydney. :)
I have own 2 business in my life. Your first year you are not going to make any money, In fake you will lose money but if you can make that first year ,the money wil start to come in
Thank you so much! Sometimes it can be hard to push through the hard times but I appreciate everyones support and encouragement!
Is that carpet on your floor ? How do you keep that so clean?
haha oh goodness no! it’s wood flooring!! 🤭
I think a lot of people don't realize how difficult it is to succeed in a pottery business. It's often a ton of work to even break even considering the materials, market fees, firings, etc. That's not even counting the time spent actually making the pottery, promoting yourself, etc. It looks romantic watching creators on RUclips but they often are not showing the struggles. A lot of pottery RUclipsrs I follow, simply had to quit doing pottery full time and work side jobs because the financials just don't work out.
yes exactly!! i love what i do but it is SO much work and a lot of the time it doesn’t work out the way you wish!! 🥺 glad that there is people out there that understand the struggles!!
Ok when you started i thought you were going to make plant pot bookends
hahah that would be cool!!
Stay positive ❤
thanks 🥰
How has this not blown up?!
rightttt 😂😏
wow you work so hard tay 💪 also i NEED that yellow mug haha and the takeaway mug 😂❤️
aww thanks Amby!! 🥰 1 yellow mug coming up 🤭
I have started my pottery journey this year. So happy to have found this channel. ❤️❤️
oh yay that’s so exciting!!! 🫶🏼 so glad you’ve found something you love!! 🥰
I didn’t realize you weren’t a huge creator- I absolutely LOVE your content 🫶🏻
girllll stop this is so sweet!! 🥰 i so appreciate you saying that!
You talk a lot to the camera, you don’t even show ceramic, just 1 minute :(
sorry about that! i was doing a little life update but ill be sure to try and include some more time in the studio!
These are so cute!!!🥰
hehe thanks!! they’ll be available really soon! 🥰
Nice vid
thanks 🤭🫶🏼
so glad you’re back! i couldn’t click on this video quick enough 😂😂 you are immensely talented and inspiration will come ❤️
awwww thanks lovely!! 🥰🥰 glad to be back and feeling the love!
I love your videos and really appreciate how transparent you are. Do you mind sharing why you don't want to start an Etsy shop?
hey!! thanks!! ♥️ ummm im not sure honestly! I’ve created an etsy store for other things before and i felt like i wasn’t getting a lot of people seeing my stuff plus they took a cut of every order but it may be something that i need to consider!! 🥰
Hey :) I thought I should leave you a comment and tell you that I am also very glad you posted a new video! Growing social media might not be easy sometimes - especially in a phase where there seems only slow progress but it will be worth it at the end 💗 and being a pottery girl too I can understand how it feels loosing drive although doing something you actually love. Making ceramics is a LOT of work! What helped me is finding ways to be more efficient. I switched to only using pouring glazes for example. They are cheaper plus it saves A LOT of time. Maybe this helps a little. Xoxo from Germany 🙂
hey lovely! wow thank you so much for this comment!! it really means a lot to me that you took the time to say this! 🥰 it’s is super hard to stay motivated and positive during those down times but i’m trying to push through! thank you so much for your advice! changing to dip glazes is actually something i’ve wanted to do for a while now so i might need to look into how to make that work! thank you so much again! 🥰
Yay! So glad you’re back! I really don’t know anything about running a small business, but have you looked into Artisan’s Nest in Sydney? I think they have a store in Newtown and Bondi. They might be able to help you sell your pieces like a market without having to be there in person…. Just an idea!
oh wow! i’ve never heard of that but will definitely check it out!! THANK YOU so much!! ♥️♥️
