Like Josh said I did a couple of gudies for AoE and ST a few days ago and hopefully that can give you a little bit of an understanding on the rotation in order to help you out with being consistent! I have heard hekili can be good but can also be a bit iffy on frost.

You pretty much treat brain freeze and flurry charges the same. You are trying to make sure you can get to a GS cast ASAP but also make sure you can shatter it. If you know that queueing a flurry after frostbolt will lead into you being able to cast GS then I would always do it.

Hiya! For this build you never want to cast frostbolt after flurry, you do want to cast flurry after frostbolt. You would alwqays follow a flurry cast with either 2x ice lance or a GS and ice lance.

Never. GS generates splinters. And splinters are your new friend's. Make also sure to consume WC with it

As far as Im concerned, 10+ targets you stop using Glacial Spike, cause you will lose Frozen orbs uses as GS has long cast (Main mage doing 12s - 13s)

If you have too many mobs you always generate orbs and you don't have time to cast GS... Until some of them die and you cast but this only happens in like 8 10 targets

Like previous answers mention I wouldn't "stop" using it at any target count as even with 20 mobs available you still want to follow the priority list (which you can see as a graphic in my guide video). However when you have 20 mobs you'll not get the chance to cast that many GS as you'll be rotation blizzard and orb mostly.

flurry with or without brain freeze shoots 3 winter's chill on the target. Consider brain freeze procs as a free flurry charge with the maximum of charges being 2. Also Flurry doesn't freeze targets, it's winter's chill that makes other spells (frost bolt for example) apply damage as if the target was frozen

I would say the previous commentor answered this question perfectly! You treat BF proccs and flurry charges the same.

On this fight in particular you want to make sure to always have it during the dmg amp windows but you can get a few casts out outside of the dmg amp windows as well (like on pull). If you manage to get blessing of autumn from youre holy paladin you can be even more liberal with it.

Would you mind sending me a raidbots sim with your character and maybe I could take a look if I can see something about your gear that could be bottlenecking you? Otherwise I think if you play the way I showed in my two guides you sohuld be good to go on dps.

Usually when I sim for m+ I do 5T 1.5min sims. In ST you always wanna sim 5min patchwerk fights for raid and you could go down to 3min patchwerk for m+ bosses, though I would recommend to just stay on 5 min.

Like Kennan said, it's the old one that we used in Amirdrassil, It's better to use it than to not use any rune, hence why I keep having it up.

I have always played this, mostly in ara-kara, the problem is when your tank starts being angry with you that you keep freezing mobs when they want to chain pull :P

So if you look at the graphic that I ahd in my video orb, comet storm and blizzard has higher prio. By the time I ran out of all of those spells there were like 2-3 mobs alive and i was stressing cause I had forgotten to pull out my decurse macro and so I kinda stopped thinking the last 5-10s of the pull where I realistically should've used GS.

You can, and I do sometimes, but ymostly you wanna save pet freeze / ice cold to shatter GS as it does more dmg and using frost nova is bad becuase frost nova itself does 0 dmg and so it would yield more to just use ice lances in that GCD instead, specially with our tier set.

It really depends on the build you're playing. It's a little hard to explain in a comment but if you're using ray of frost build you mostly play it the same as I showed in the video. You use rof on CD and then have the same priorities as in the video.

This is very true and exactly why I dont use @cursor for blizzard, you never know when those prescy tanks are gonna do some last second movement.

I would recommend you sim yourself with raidbots and see what it says that you should target. You can do a droptimizer sim and check all the gear from m+/raid to see what seems to be better for your character. I think a lot of people are running around 16-19% mastery and so it could be that you'd want a few more percent.

You can not root a boss, hence why we want comet storm to be sent into a WC in order to shatter it.

Realistically you'd not care too much about shattering comet storm with either of the two. It's a bad habit I have. If you were to shatter it however you'd probably want to be using frost nova as it's much harder to use it for shattering GS, which is why we'd want to save or ice nova. Though frost nova barely deals any damage by itself and so the gcd is a little wasted. It's not gonna make or break your damage and so it doesnt *really* matter.

ish, you send ray of frost in opener, its basically S4 again, saving non proc'd flurries for GS and always sending any IL that gain you icicles (FoF / WC) and clicking orb over anything, missing orbs is the difference for sure in raid st.
