Tourbillon pocket watch, finished restoration.
And finally got this Tourbillon cased up for final testing. The most fun part of the restoration was drilling out the broken screws on the two front-hatch-springs and re-tapping the holes. Drilling 0.5mm holes through 4 millimetres of broken, iron thread sounds easy. But I’m sure that plenty of people out there who’ve worked with iron from the 1800’s have a good understanding of how challenging it can be to drill this material.

This is a lovely old Tourbillon Pocket watch movement I finished restoring today. It was gifted to the king of Spain in the 1860's.

This a lovely old English Fusee Pocket watch movement I completed restoring this week. It's roughly 160 years old. After a lot of work, it's now back to keeping time accurately and looking like it did when it came out of the factory.

Completed restoring this Quarter Repeater with Chronograph today. I had to refinish about 60% of the movement components that were either scratched, rusty or hacked by environment and mishandling. The hands were rusty and they were the most challenging set I’ve ever refinished and re-blued; but also lots of fun. Our client is eighty-five years old and he inherited the watch from his father.
