I'd say the most interesting thing about it was that it connected Joker 1 to The Dark Knight, and it made me respect the film a little more that it wasn't just another excuse to use the "multi-universe" as excuse to make another film of the same thing. It did answer Heath Ledgers question "You wanna know how I got these scars", but I think that question was better left to the audience's imagination. All in all, I agree. The songs don't add anything, Harley Quinn could have been so much better and nothing much happened - I looked at my watch about 6 or 7 times to see how long was left. Can't recommend.

How about all those plot holes are intentional? That the preposterous premise and 4, 291 improbabilities are CAMP? Night TOLD us what the movie would not be like. Only flaw, unfortunately, was a big one. Saleka’s cringeworthy acting performance almost broke the back of the story. He needed to get an actress for the role. But Hartnett carried the ball into the end zone with that wonderful scene in the kitchen with Pill (put down your cleaver and let’s share that last piece of pie 😂) and out of the room tased like King Kong falling off the Empire State Building. Polarizing film for sure. But hubby and I don’t get why haters don’t “get it.” We love it! Great fun!

Terrible movie, a very bad comedy that is badly scripted,badly acted and terrible direction that is a MESS.

I really liked this film but for me the ending wasn't dark enough. Spoilers... . . . . . . . . . . At first I thought it was great when you think he was caught but the kidnaps the singer and that would have been a cool way to end with some news clipping in the background of what he did and how he's still at large during the credits . But then as the film went on how much better would it have been if when he returns to his wife , she was actually in on the whole thing and was really his partner!!!

Definitely worth a watch, or two. I actually enjoyed the 2nd half a little more than the 1st, especially for the hilarious 3-way chemistry and banter of Damon, Affleck and Chau. Thanks for the tip, to watch Logan Lucky. For me, The Instigators had a similar feel to The Nice Guys and Watching the Detectives - so I expect it'll garner a cult following over time.

The Multiverse storyline is awful. Anything past Endgame is terrible. No excitement.

Loved this film! Great fun! Solid excitement. Would love to go see this again in IMAX and in 4DX. Just gutting it's going up against Deadpool and with a budget of 200mil dollars I don't think it will make it's money back😢. I hope people go to see this film!

Great review. Have to admit I was not impressed by this film. It was too long and I think I was bored. Which is crazy I really enjoyed the classic films and loved fury road. I think the film was too long and lacked soundtrack. But when there was action it was great and vehicle design ,props and costumes were excellent. Should have done better than it did but it won't make my shelf.

Some people want everything spelled out - why are they fighting? Who is winning ? And also people want to cheer for their side. Garland (wisely) ignores all of that and treats the audience as adults.

This was way better than swordsmith village arc. We learned way more about the characters, and the pacing was way better.

To tell you the truth, I think the Trilogy will cover only the Infinity Arc (40 chapters) and the last arc will have another set (25 chapters) Mugen train arc has 12 chapters and it covered 5 episodes so maybe Infinity castle will cover 13-14 chapters per movie. As a manga reader I hope you won't think that them releasing these as movies as a cash grub move, because it is really the best way to present the upcoming arc! Can't wait for all the questions you have to be answered and I subscribed in case you l review it when it comes out!!

I'm So Happy That DISNEY And PIXAR Is Doing Well With This Movie And I Wonder What Will DISNEY And PIXAR Saving MONEY For???

Its like it was 3 scripts merged in one: A movie about a person dealing with a terminal decease, a comedy about people following a cat that was playing around the city during a war, and an invasion survival scifi story. But at the end the mix didn't quite work.

Boy and the Heron feels like a weaker copycat of Spirited Away. Main character finds abandoned building and somehow gets trapped in fantastic world; some casualty characters also get trapped with them, the main purpose is to return home with all the casualty characters; although the main character remains fully intact, the side characters seem to be effected physically by the fact that they’ve ended up in this new world. Then there is the magical flying side kick who basically acts as a guide to the main character while you can never be certain if they are good or bad. There’s the hoards of creatures wanting to eat the main character and ultimately not being allowed to. There’s the magical leader type woman who again, you are not certain if they are good or bad but that the main character must closely interact with and eventually they reveal to be good. They also have a similar magical character later in the storyline (who always seems to be related or want to be related to this main character) who gives the main character some side quest which turned out to be the main quest all along that ultimately ushers the main character along with all casualty characters home. The end

I mean, I saw you're at 25 likes to 128 dislikes so I was just going to leave this video without leaving a rating(let you just enjoy what you enjoyed) but then you said the 1 star reviews were basically all "hates the fact there's another female lead..." Like... no... not at all... you tried covering the criticism people are using for the 1/5 star reviews but boiled it down to "they all hate women..." This is really bad faith and I think you should look at the actual criticism people have with the show if you don't want to receive rightfully given backlash. Star Wars Theory is a good place to look if you want my recommendation. He's gone over every episode so far.

"The people who would have bullied you for liking star wars, are now in control of star wars." This is generally true for all of nerd-dom. It went mainstream with things like Marvel, then Star Wars, DnD, etc. The reality is nerds were the original diverse outgroup of modern society. We welcomed anyone who shared our interests because there weren't many of us and we stuck together against the bullies and the haters. Ethnicity or class didn't matter. We always wished more girls would share our interests but they seldom did. The boys weren't typically creeps, but were often socially awkward and inexperienced around women, so that sometimes made it awkward any girls who were actually interested. Nerd stuff pushed diversity, strong female characters, interracial dating, etc. while mainstream Hollywood refused to embrace it. It was only after it became popular to support that stuff that non nerds get into the space. Then they realized they were late to the party, so they had to act like they brought virtue to this space and we were the bigots. It's mass gaslighting and projection. "Their" crew refuse to excuse children for the actions of great grandparents who were malnourished, uneducated, underage when made to conquer for kings so WHY is it sane to excuse her actions as a well-nourished, educated, old free willed person who KNOWS BETTER? "They" are ultra-wealthy ultra-powerful ultra-privillaged and play the victim to US THE PEOPLE

Disregard all the smart asses in the comments man. Your review of the show is balanced as it should be. I would rate the show around 6 - 6.5 / 10. I think 1/10 is completely unjustified. I don't know why these people are freaking out. I don't understand why there seem to be some major youtubers out there instantly posting absolutely toxic reviews of star wars and milking it like a cow for views. I find this very hypocritical. And by toxic I mean they cling on the negatives of the show and completely disregard any positives. Like what has been the story so far?? Episode 3 was the worst piece of cinematography to date. And why was that? Because (not my words) The lesbian space witches sang a cringe chant for a few seconds..... Really? That's all it takes for the episode to be "THE WORST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO STAR WARS?" hahhahaha Also you know... fire in space.... But when George Lucas did it.... it served a purpose..... right.... so basically, when you want to like it, its ok, when you don't like it, it makes no sense. Thats not hypocritical at all. Lets see what else? Oh Osha is a terrible name for a character. Absolutely shocking! I dunno man people seem to like Osha in game of thrones...... Lets not forget about Osha using a pronoun..... what an absolute mockery! I'm glad we're looking at so many important details man. What else is being repeated out there in the forest? Oh right! Mundi! How is Mundi alive 100 years before his appearance in the movies? But in Legends he is said to be born 30 years later.... Is Legends Canon all of a sudden? Cause according to these same "fans" they take very serious care of what is considered canon and what isn't. Oh yes yes but Mundi said in the movie that he hasn't seen any Sith! A HA! but he saw them in the Acolyte! Well i didn't know Mae was a Sith... cause all he saw was Mae fighting and they assumed a Jedi trained her and Mundi was the only one who said "naaaah man I don't think this is as important as we make it to be". Maybe the man is just in constant denial.... or maybe the Sith kills all the witnesses and Mundi lives happily ever after without ever seeing him. Who can predict the future? Oh and lets not forget: "Apparently they can fly now" said Theory when he saw the Sith Landing..... When someone told him that Count Dooku did it in Clone Wars he said.... yeah but that's a 2D animation...... So fucking what? Since when is the format that important to a guy who has made his living off of narrating fan fiction about Star Wars? Its a 2D animation produced by Lucasfilm.... Also I don't understand how his landing is anything other than a BadAss entrance? for all we know he jumped off a tree and used the force to slow down his landing. He didn't actually fly off to the Sunset like fucking Superman...... They can't even enjoy the pure awesomeness that we witness in that last scene (which was definitely the best in the show so far). The sneaky landing and the side flick of Osha and the Ground Push in the end were fantastic.

There aren't enough black lesbians and transgenders in it is my main criticism. Also, I think if they want to really show how progressive Star Wars is they should have an opening scene of 2 gay Jedi having anal sex and show the penetration. Some plus sized black Jedi would be nice along with mentally and physically disabled characters. The series is getting there but is still lacking. At least they brought up pronouns.

the acolyte is pretty good! apart from the bad acting, writing, set design, story, the blatant disrespect towards the old fans and the original and prequel trilogies, the blatant pandering and shoehorning in of elements of the real world in this galaxy far far away telling a story of long long ago, and the lack of a cohesive structure and logic within the show! putting that all aside, i give it a 10/10! great show do recommend!
