One Of Our Ducks Needs Help With Bumblefoot!
Will active dry yeast work ?
How long do you keep them ina box like that? When can you transfer them to their duck house?
you need to give them a pool thats why they are not eating drinking and being weak
I enjoyed watching this ! I'm thinking of starting a homestead myself !
The 16 you have that are laying... all female? And these 25, now 23, they are all female as well? What do you think your egge yield is per duck? We just got 2 khaki campbells, one mallard and two peckins? Im not sure on the last, they are yellow. We found your entire video super helpful!
Adorable
Great content; loaded with important tips and suggestions. Thank you
Hi any tips on having a 2 day old mallard baby?
Hi, I live in the 3rd floor of my apartment. A Muscovy duck hatched 12 ducklings here in my balcony. What can I do to help them? I don't want to let them die. Please help.
I use duck eggs for my challah recipe and they're amazing
This dudes Cringe 😂😂😂
What kind of food do they eat can you share a link and a link to the water dispensers for them please
What type of duck is this?
A Positive Altitude Homestead, Subscribed because your videos are so much fun!
How serious is the salmonella thing? The only things I’ve ever read are that it’s a serious issue and requires extreme care. How likely are the ducklings or ducks to give you salmonella ?
What did you use for the water catcher tray
Thanks for checking us out! In the brooder we use a paint roller tray from any hardware store, with the metal grate on top. Once in their house, we cut a hole in the floor with hardware cloth to cover it to allow water to fall on to the ground. Hope that makes sense, good luck! Feel free to ask questions any time!
hey guys! its kristofor from back in carver, glad to see yall doing so well in Wyoming!
Hi there! So great hearing from you!
Pick em up often. Good.
Excellent idea with paint tray water catcher. I bet it saves cleaning every other day.
Love your videos! We are finally getting some of your rain(right at harvest time, but we will gladly take it). Hug everyone for us! Things look great on the homestead!
So it's a 2-1/2 screw, what is it actually hanging on to?
What age were they when you got them? I need advice
We got ours a few days old from a hatchery that ships ducklings.
'PromoSM'
Lack of niacin
Brewer's yeast takes care of that
I have a new duck. Theyre names are jack and robert. And henry. 8:32 if u want a red light
It looks wonderful out there! So glad mom is coming out with your folks later this month! I hope I can come with all of them in Sept. I am so excited to see you all and your place. So proud of all you have accomplished! You truly are living the “good life”.
Where is this? Looks fun lol
You are getting quite a flock!
Oh man! I wish I had thought to use a paint roller screen!
Right? When I heard about it, I felt the same way! Now you can use it for the next time!
They grow up so fast don't they!? great video!
How fun and exciting for you! Things are looking good on the homestead! So proud of you and all of your acquired knowledge and the care you show your animals. ❤
What kind of ducks do you have?
These ducks in the video are Khaki Campbell ducks. Smaller ducks, excellent layers!
Looks great! :)
Can we use saw dust chips which is the size of a 1/4 of a inch
I've never used them, but that's not to say you couldn't.
Do they get along with chicks?
We have ours living with chickens and a Turkey!
@@apositivealtitudehomestead8964 so no bullying when they are young?
@@ainthatquanquan we keep them all together in a house, but for the first couple weeks we keep them separated with a gate/ fence. That way everyone can see one another, but can't fight
How do you keep them from flying away?
Ours don't fly very far, but if you're worried you can clip their flight wings. They don't feel a thing that way!
How do u clean the ducks food and water? Just water or soap? A special kind of soap?
I like to use a biodegradable non toxic dish soap, or hot water and vinegar would suffice as well
When will the chickens hatch? Glad your snow is melting. Enjoyed seeing all of you!!
Thanks for watching! The chicks should be hatching in 16 or 17 days! Miss you guys
Drew wants to know what the glow in the dark flying things were in Mexico. Glad you enjoyed your trip.
I got 5 assorted ducks and then ordered 10 Khaki Campbells and the only thing I can complain about is they sure do like to make a water mess even with the waterers that have the holes haha.
If there's water, the ducklings will play. Always! Enjoy
good
How much vinger and what kind?
I like to use organic raw with the Mother included, and I add 2T/gallon
Do you have your ducklings vaccinated?
Nope, organically raised since we got them
Really great
no grit? feed is brewers yeast and?
Where can I get the brewers yeast
Brewer's Yeast for Backyard Chickens & Ducks with Echinacea, Garlic, & Oregano (4 pounds) a.co/d/8ID2Ebl This is what we've always used, it's AMAZING! Hope this helps, thanks for reaching out and watching our video!
Can I use just normal human grade brewers yeast?
Hi! Honestly, I don't know the answer to that. I would do a little research on that, I've only used the one made for birds
I had 2 Mallard ducks that died what could be the possible reason
Thanks! We got ducklings, much larger ones, from a neighbor last year and they were already used to being outside. Will be getting more ducklings from our farm supply store this Spring, but not sure how to know when they're ready to go outside on a permanent basis!
Three weeks is ok
Can I use a brooder heater that I used for my baby hens when I first got them instead of a heat lamp? I refuse to use heat lamps, too many fires caused by them. Also, when can I give them a pool? lol
