Done a lot of bang up here in the 90's. Minor point but @ the 2 minute mark they have the date wrong. My first sentence here was in 1994 and they already had in cell toilets then. A wing was a general population wing and we were strictly kept apart from C wing (sex offenders wing) @ 13:05. I live in Stoke and having to sit in that sweat box for one and a half hours whilst en route was a punishment in itself. As prisons go, it wasnt a bad nick. For the most part the screws were decent and would even bend the rules a little if you were ok with them and the food was good. Didnt really spend a great deal of your time in your cell as there was always work in the daytime here and there was the gym, exercise, library etc. Great vid. Thanks for posting, bought back some memories.

Wow I grew up in Willenhall from 1959 to 1970 and have happy memories. My father was a proud Welsh speaking Welshman from farming stock near Lampeter , Cardiganshire. He was Willenhall G P. From 1954 to 70 before returning to Wales. For 30 yrs after leaving we made an annual Christmas trip to the Bkack Country to see friends and former neighbours. He was a proud Welshman but said the Willenhall people were the salt of the earth and greatly respected them. P.S. I returned to the Midlands from 1980 to 84 working as a Press Photographer in Walsall , covering Willenhall of course and did jobs at my former Primary school...Pool Hayes in Castle Drive.

I ay bin to the 'all for 40 odd yers mate so thanks fer showin' us around. Oh and I ay teckin' the pi**...arm from Cannock (near) and some on us tork loik that 'ere too. But seriously, that was a good little explore mate. A bit of memory jerking for me when my girlfriend (from Coseley) and I used to take a ride here maybe once a month back in the early 80's. The parking then was free and I think the Hall was private?. We used to park under the avenue of trees and sit there feeding the squirrels. Apparently there used to be some nice fish in that big lake and I think, trout etc in the tiered pools up towards the end of your video. The whole place has been 'opened up' since I was there. Not sure about that moat. It looks to me like a couple of Ha-ha walls...but I might be wrong. Either way, great video and thanks for the memories of when I was a randy youth many moons ago 🙂

Market years ago was massive and very busy, dead now lol, the building lying back behind gates was a solicitos, had some sessions round Willo in old days, such a shame its in decline now, like most towns when they bang a supermarket in.
