Welcome to Jennie Loader Studio. Through sharing my passion for the transformative process of wet feltmaking I will help you to gain confidence, have fun, learn successful techniques and make amazing things.
Drawing on many years of teaching and using the process of wet felting, I will share with you hints, tips and in-depth tutorials to inspire & increase your knowledge.
The thing with feltmaking is that there are so many different techniques, such wonderful colours, textures and ideas that it is an adventure that just keeps giving!

ABOUT
I first wet felted in 2006, immediately got hooked (yes, it is addictive!) and following lots of explorative making and attending workshops I started teaching in 2007 - working with many different groups in lots of diverse environments, building my knowledge and having a wonderful time sharing the joys of feltmaking with others.

Sculptural Felt Vessels
Introducing my felted Sculptural Vessel designs. I am thinking about my forthcoming wet feltmaking workshops and thought I would share some of the felt vessels I have made and use as samples. Next workshop teaching this technique will take place at Glastonbury Abbey on Saturday 20 July 2024.

One of the joys of running feltmaking workshops is that I get to do one of my favourite things - create using wool and the wet felting process. Now, I don't always have time to finish them in the workshop so often complete them when I am home. Straight edges in 2D feltmaking

The last sample, white with white and brown yarns, Was that wet felted in or needle felted?
Sooo, sorry it has taken me so long to reply. It was wet felted - I rarely use needle felting and it was a sample piece to see if the yarns would wet felt and bond ok - they all did, yippee! Happy Felting.
