This Day in Buster…May 24, 1925
The Galveston Daily News reviews “Seven Chances” - “What seems to be a crowd of several thousand starts after him and poor Buster is kept dodging the marriage-mad females. Here the picture becomes a runaway, and the audience is left gasping for breath and holding its sore jaws.”

Movie Monday - Buster Keaton in "Spite Marriage"
Wish he would have recorded the whole song, but I am lucky to get this snippet.
Isn’t this the one where, when he’s talking to her, he’s actually giving her acting directions? I love this film. What am I saying? I love ALL of his films! 😃
This is a really brave stuntman! He would have been a great Tarzan stuntman!
Thanks for posting.
Thank you too there.
WOW ! brilliant
Wasn't he just?
This is GREAT
To say Joe didn't initially approve of movies, I think he really enjoyed his time making films with son Buster
I remember this ❤❤
Brilliant
Sybil Seely was the best co-actor with Buster. She was so adorable and never had to say a word. Although, I would love to have heard her voice. My, I could only imagine.
💌
Very nice too the later bbc1 dots then This would have been by june 1983 when schools ended there and then went to bbc2 that september onwards
Indeed that would have been I guess from 1981 to 1983 when bbc1 used the twin lines ident rather than the ident they had had before from 1975 onwards. Schools at the time then used the diamonds sequence before going to the round dots as they did I think in 1977 onwards Until 1983 When bbc2 took over they used a different figure 2 ident until 1986 when the written two ident came in. When the 2 idents. Came in in 1991 onwards they used those too. Thank you too.
Very nice there old bbc1 dots countdown with music great too. Thank you.
You're welcome!
@LovelyRuthie thank you too. This is so much nicer really than today's television by far too.
If you aren’t familiar with them, I recommend @vintageschoolstv - they uploaded my favourite “Math Topics” on request. Oh, the nostalgia!
@LovelyRuthie of course indeed too and thank you I will see that too as well.
Remember this too.
10:03 Nice shot.
12:26 Ouch!
So excited to see The General in a theatre in 2 weeks on April 28th, Worcester, Massachusetts, with live organ accompaniment! This will be my first Buster film in a theater.
Thanks for this. I'm just getting into Buster for the first time, by accident. 2 months ago stumbled upon a youtube video compilation of his stunts, and was stunned and blown away. Have been devouring all of his films and shorts bit by bit ever since.
You Mean the Very 1st Weekly Edition of Wogan?
No, it's the first tri-weekly edition of Wogan.
"Wogan" was around before 1985.
It had previously been weekly on Saturday evenings in a similar slot to the old Parkinson programme. This new incarnation saw it move to a 7.00 pm slot three evenings a week.
Science Notes by John Baker.
Thank you - edited :)
great video. Thank you.
😢 donde la puedo ver completa ?
I love your videos, hehe
korma long no need to book 😂
13 mins of me running from the hoes
Loved seeing his short films as a kid with my brother...
I know people don't like the talkie MGM but I'm hoping they do a blu ray of the set for the UK
Same!
This was around the time Goodness Gracious Me made their English Restaurant sketch, complete with low-budget advert like this!
Run Buster run!
Buster's always funny!
He looks bored..!
Thanks for posting.
May you please credit @A Capella Trudbol for the barbershop cover?
I find these two quite annoying, but this is actually ok!! 😅 there is a little bit of Laurel and Hardy’s Busy Bodies as well
Yes, definitely! I absolutely loved this whole routine…even if Ant & Dec’s timing was out with the pipe 😂
Nice! 👏👏👏
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
thank you. I got a real kick out of it. flat hat off to whomever wrote the script & to the guy who did the reading; great interpretation & voice. thanks a million. peace & happiness to all
Why thank you! The script was mine…the voice was generated by Greta Bowie using AI!
...WWWAAAAAAAA! it's not real...??....WWWAAAAAAAA!! (Voice recreated by Greta Bowie?) Amazing what tech can do! she's a dead ringer!!
LOL Greta used AI rather than her own voice ;)
This guy does a brilliant imitation. Class
You've outdone yourself again, Ruthie! To be honest the AI stuff perplexes me a bit but not that much in this case, as it feels familiar hearing you talk to Buster like this. I often imagine talking to him in a similar manner and we all know he would adapt to our current times in a heartbeat!
It sure was fun writing his script! I hope he didn’t mind 😉
@@LovelyRuthie I'm sure he appreciates it 🙂
Wasn't fooled! Freshly out of listening and re-listening to his interviews, was able to tell at the very first sound of words (not his speech pattern, intonation nor rhythm - also ''I've been dead'' - is a dead giveaway seconds after ;P) but brilliantly done all the same: caught the colour and personality - and, honestly, very well said! ... Good movies are made today, but these in this day and age (and that's a paradox) get less exposure than the blue screen stuff, which feels increasingly cheap and worthless. Came back to Keaton and the gang (anything pre-2000) precisely because of today's bad and contradictory storytelling, non existing characterisation and CGI all over. No sympathy, no empathy, no respect, from today's creators - and, as a consequence, none from the viewers. When folks just naturally love good fun and gravitate towards it! ... Frank Keaton, right? A good name: to be frank = free, open, honest, sincere, 100% true & genuine (when doing bits of magic, sleight of hand too) - which is exactly how he comes across as. It's good to see things done the old hands-on way, feels good to watch the inventive brainiacs at work, how they figured stuff out, what they did. ... And have many hearty laughs along the way! Yeah, good stuff! ... ... Then again ... damn if I know ... Thanks for uploading! Made my day XD
Given we were using AI we really didn’t want to fool people for too long. As a technology, AI is ever improving & it’s very possible just a year from now that we could get his voice indistinguishable from the real thing. As for Buster’s view on films today…well, that’s just my guess on what he might think based on his need for story in his own films. He might watch a Marvel movie & think it the bees knees 😂
Ha, it turned out very funny! 😁 I really like it, great!
Thank you for being his voice coach 😉😂
Lovely
Very clever - that was fun!
Thank you!
Nicely done! Totally forgot today was April Fools 😂 I just thought this was a great modern take on old interviews and nothing more. I believe Buster would say those exact things if he were here today!
I will take that as a massive compliment!
This is awesome! You must have had a lot of fun making it. #Damfino job!🥳
Sure did! Happy birthday, kiddo ;)
I am really impressed with the re-creation of Buster’s voice!!! Bravo!!!
A couple of lines are uncannily undetectable from the real thing, but...the technology is not quite seamless yet ;)
@@LovelyRuthie But it is still so great!!!
