So, what act specifically saves you? I would assume we agree we need faith, but faith plus what? Tithing? Going to church? What act specifically saves you? Or are there three acts that we have to do? Four? What works and how many specifically does one need to do to be saved? Acts 15 is a good passage that clarifies this. It's really one of the so many scriptures that clarify that faith alone saved. Now, we have to understand that true faith, like James teaches, acts. True faith in Jesus engages in action. True faith and trust in Jesus Christ compels us who believe to engage in action, to work for the Lord. But, what truly saves? it is the grace of God imparted to us by faith in Jesus Christ. When we read scripture it makes it clear we are saved by faith alone. Though it does make it also clear that just saying "I believe" or just agreeing with scripture and thinking it right or good is not true faith in Jesus Christ. I think that is likely where you are struggling to understand the truth of scripture.

Was Abraham saved here when he believed? Genesis 12:1 Abraham left his home and followed God because of his faith Hebrews 11:8 it was by Abraham’s faith that he followed God. Was Abraham saved here by his faith? Genesis 12:8 Abraham built an altar and called upon the name of the Lord Romans 9:9-10 Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Was Abraham saved here by calling on the name of the lord? Genesis 22 Abraham was told to take his son and offer him as a sacrifice on Mount Moriah (which is top of Jerusalem) Abraham obeyed God. @@Pickup_man_1973 It's ironic, No? that many of the passages you are sighting seem to support the idea that we are saved by faith in Jesus Christ. Yes, we are called to live for the Lord, and many of your passages teach that. Most of the verses you sight are speaking about living for the Lord. I feel you may be mixing topics a little here. I totally agree, we need to live for the Lord. And the bible is clear that true faith in Jesus Christ will live for the Lord. But our topic was not about our necessity to live out Jesus and live for the Lord. I think we both agree on that point. And I agree on that point because the bible teaches that, as the scripture you sight does. I love the passages you are quoting here. Great passage and challenges for us to live for Jesus and keep in step with the Holy Spirit. But what we are not talking about living for the Lord, we are talking about what specifically saves us. In this area the bible is clear. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. I mean John 3:16-17 one of the most well know passages of scripture makes that clear, and so do the passages I shared and some of the passages you shared. Our works will be used by the Lord to save others and bring Glory to God. Through our Jesus lead, Holy Spirit-empowered works we will store up treasures in heaven. But our works don't earn us a place in heaven or save us a place in heaven. We are saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. That is what the passages I wrote and many of the passages you wrote speak to. Yes, the bible calls us to faith and action, but that action does not earn us salvation. And you can keep fighting but you're not fighting me, I'm just clarifying that you are mixing arguments here. And I'm just sharing scripture, from the Bible that teaches, those who put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ are saved by grace. That is what the bible teaches in the New Testament over and over again. You are not fighting with me. You are trying to fight against scripture.
