Really nice, but the micro steps do not help. Maybe if you set them more distant from each other it would look and feel more interesting.
I’m guessing getting this working in Unity wouldn’t be too much of a stretch.
I think the only Unreal Engine part was the type of Rig. I haven't used Auto-Rig Pro but I'm sure it support just regular Blender Rigs (which do work in Unity) or maybe even a Unity Specific Rig.

Hey guys for the users who hate blender... you can do this with adobe for free to rig and import into ue very simple.... More or less this is like the long way to do it what he's doing... This is a very simple level one type thing to do
Yes, and for anyone wanting to use the Mixamo (Adobe) option - it works but you do need to run your animation blueprint thru a re-targetter, I did a tutorial video on how to do that on my other channel: ruclips.net/video/YNZzIEbVMSE/видео.html Pretty easy. Works pretty well. Tho myself, I really like having the skeleton rigged to the default UE bones (instead of the Mixamo bones) it's just one less step in using marketplace assets (etc)

I remember back in 2017 I got into game development as a hobby, I really wanted to get a character that I had in mind into a game world. Took a day or two to sketch and start building the mesh in blender, learning as I was doing, and then I simply gave up at the skeletal mesh part. The entire thing took about 4 days. As life happened, I could only dream of times when I could dedicate entire weeks to hobbies like I did back then. It is unbelievable how much creativity this kind of workflows will unlock for hobbyists now. It will be interesting to see there will be any major leaps forward in terms of quality of generated content, or if major players integrate AI models directly in their tools. In 2030 I bet we'll install Unreal Engine with NVidia Brain Something Something and chat in Unreal with an AI that builds this for us :)
this is usefull for creating background characters and small stuff for the game. It still lacks that hero level quality but what now we have is still impressive and usefull.

You can improve this model if you remove the texture from the eyes and replace with a material in UE5 reflective, glass or chrome, it's not difficult

The image generator doesn't understand complex prompts, and can't tell the difference between regions and cultures, it homogenizes asia for example. Yeah you're chilling these softwares, they're not ready for production yet; results are very low quality.

Looks like it would be good to mass produce models and hire someone with modeling experience to fix the errors or fix them yourself. I think this is a good thing for everyone. Regardless of what people say there's still reasons to hire actual artists (because they're still better than AI), and the people who couldn't afford to hire artists now have semi-viable alternatives.

Hmm every human I tried(even high resolution photos) looks absolutely terrible. Maybe I'm missing something, but still this is inspiring and will get better and better.
I think that currently there are limitations to the style of character you can do... and that I think is largely due to the texture process. I find that a certain art style can be made to look really cool, but realistic humans say... not so much. Not yet anyway. I think the 3D model itself would be decent, but the texture for the model wouldn't be too good yet (for realistic humans)
Still flawed, but genuinely amazing when you compare this to what it was a year ago. I reckon within the next 3-5 years they'll iron out those minor details that give it away as problematic and you'll be able to use AI to fully put together everything model wise. Great video, I always love to see the direction this stuff is going.
