Does 4024 still have it's original D397 prime mover? The RS-4-TC-1A's were all built for the military only and only had Caterpillar D397 V12's which were supercharged.The museum I'm a member of,ours is USAX 4035 from the Red River Army Depot in Northeast Texas,and before it was retired in 1995,the Army sent it to EMD to get rebuilt back in 1988,and it was given a 3508 as a prime mover as well as EMD control stands.
I'm aware of the units that were rebuilt to RS-4-TC-1A Locomotives using the 3508 prime movers. But 4024 is not one of those. We have an additional Rs4tc as well #4012. But both of ours 4012 & 4024 still have the Cat D397 Prime Movers
The control stands in 4012 and 4024 are original as well. I have a lot more footage of both 4012 and 4024 in more detail if you'd like to see it, as well as set up for multiple unit control.

Yes, it is android. I had to purchase it for $9.00 American dollars before I could download it from the Google play store... I'm not sure about getting it for free tho. Maybe from a mod but that's sketchy business, and usually isn't free anyway... What you get is well worth the purchase price...
