I've been using gestures from when it started on android and never had an issue or whatsoever. But if you've only been using an iPhone in, then I can understand why it would throw you off. I have an S4 Ultra and 15 Pro Max and can definitely say the iPhone gesture is more responsive and cleaner, but android isn't bad either.
