Sadly, my friend Allyson Zalva passed away a few days ago, 39 days after being diagnosed with Glioblastoma. Allyson has been a hospice nurse for many years and knew precisely how quickly things would unfold for her from her own experiences helping others with this same diagnosis. She possessed a very rare strength of acceptance and immediately began focusing on closing out her journey on this side of life by planning her own "living funeral". Over 200 friends, family and colleagues were gathered at her home to celebrate her life -with her-.
