I believe one rider broke his foot, one broke his hand, and another got knocked out. Looked alot worse watching as a spectator.

What happened at 3:45? Sounds like something scraped and induced a bit of a slide.
Yeah the front slid for a bit through Hamilton, pushed it a bit too hard trying to close the gap. I think the scraping was just the knee sliders. RST ones are pretty hard.
