They actually will eat live flesh if they are landed on it with nothing else to eat. Found a puppy that had flies lay eggs on it and they started eating it alive. Had to have the puppy put to sleep. 😢

Have been using Khamba for the last 10+ years .. extremely happy with it - this is my third replacement ….as over aperiod sometimes the lid breaks or one of the pot breaks . I want to start composting and most probably will go with the Gobble Trio. I do have some questions though 1. If I am travelling for a few days, can I just leave the unit as is for days? Without stirring or anything? 2. Honestly a little icked about the maggots 😁 but once the compost is fully done, where do the maggots go? In all the videos I have seen so far there are no maggots in the done compost. Is that how it is supposed to be?

I found the Khamba by your organization a few years ago, but didn't find anywhere to purchase it here in Europe. So I tried to build my own from ceramic pots and I love it! I can't imagine to be without my khamba anymore, even though it's not as pretty as your khambas of course :). Greetings from Germany

About three or four years ago I learned about the concept of the khamba. Sadly I couldn't find any retailers at the time who offered them, so I researched countless videos and made one myself out of clay pots that where stackable. And what can I say I love it! I added compost worms to it and put it on my balcony. Even in moist summer heat it doesn't smell at all and I have produced nice worm hummus that I use on all my plants. This way the garbage in the kitchen doesn't reek anymore and I am a little bit closer to organic farming, even though I didn't have much space. I love it!
