    Honestly I didn't know if I was going to publish today's vlog because our dog just had surgery on Thursday and we didn't know if he was going to be strong enough to survive after this major operation (gallbladder problem) . Fortunately the operation went well despite a more serious situation than expected, for the moment his condition is stable and favorable and with a little luck we will be able to recover him on Monday. Anyway, thank you so much for watching the vlog ❤ Take care everyone ❤❤

    huuu: zucchini flowers.... France has changed! When I once had something to do with flowers - in France - I walked through a very large lavender field - and couldn't get through it at all. You were numbed, so to speak - you sat down and fell asleep! That was my first contact with secret drugs, I think! You can sleep well - numbed! When it's not so hot anymore - then the smell goes away! I'm currently eating buffalo cheese from Hungary with a Russian spread made from capelin and herring rye with shrimps! I'm just a spoiled little guy! I spoil myself! The best thing I learned in France: one hand a warm baguette - the other hand a nice French cheese! The bottle of red wine had to go in my jacket pocket: of course - because all good things come in threes! now I have my sights set on water buffalo: gentle, very large and sluggish, but such a good cheese! the French brie that you get here is also to blame: everything tastes bland, random, like nothing! industrial cheese! but buffalo cheese...... or real Russian smoked processed cheese: man, it even tastes like it used to! back then it was love, love of children, and today I feel happy when I can get something that hasn't changed, that is, tastes like it used to! last week I tried what batata con chocolate tastes like when you make it yourself! simply cook good sweet potatoes, then process them into a puree, add sugar and 70% dark chocolate. I left out everything that was chemical - what was written on the tin - and lo and behold: my patata tastes much better! that is of course bad for the poor people in the industry - if I don't buy any more tins! but what do I care about other people if I simply like my sweet potato jam with chocolate better - and I can make it myself? my sweet potato jam is versatile - even with buffalo cheese, for example: a wonderful experience! recipe: kilo by kilo - but don't use refined sugar: it's made from sugar beet - very sweet and useless! just use sugar cane molasses: you can also get it as a powder! cook 1 kilogram of sweet potato, peel it - then put some water in a pot and dissolve 1 kilogram of cane sugar: it will then start to foam. then add the sweet potatoes that have been pressed through a potato press and stir it together. and finally add a bar of dark chocolate! since you've just made pancakes here: my sweet potato jam also tastes good with it: it's not sweet - very easy to digest - and of course very wholesome! the way it's prepared determines how your body digests it! not all sugar is the same: I love sugar cane now! best wishes from here - from Berlin, Germany - to you.....

      @@meganeshares :hello, megan, thanks for your feedback: that's always a good idea! let's stay with the sweet potato: unfortunately, the original cultivation areas are no longer relevant today: people grow everything that brings in quick money - and so you get sweet potatoes that grow even on rather poor soil. but the soil determines the ingredients, and also the taste: you get an incredible number of sweet potato types and even colors: I only get simplicity here in Berlin - yes, Berlin is stupid and simple-minded, it's always been like that! I think all big cities are getting closer to that - where nothing is produced but everything is eaten! the sweet potatoes that I get here - are whitish on the inside. that's why I plant sweet potatoes in large pots: they literally grow - invasively everywhere! if you don't use a pot - the sweet potato literally overgrows everything, spreads massively! Buy sweet potatoes and simply plant the tubers: it's easy and results in - yes: new potatoes! Sweet potatoes have an incredibly long shelf life and can be stored: German potatoes rot quickly - so they are - er: typically bad German! You have to say it like this: there's no room for anything else. Berliners - I'm one of the few real Berliners left - are direct: if someone is stupid, I'm not unfriendly - I say it quite simply without emotion - but you are stupid and still feel good about it! Then emotions boil over: from the other side, of course! Well! There are lots of recipes for processing batata - the sweet potato into batata con chocolate: it comes from South America, originally - and everyone does it the way they like it! Everyone lives in their own bubble: you're welcome! Unfortunately, I don't agree with all of this: why should I: I just make my own recipe! Sugar cane juice: it's not art, it's not technology, it's just something that grows quite large.... to get the sugar cane juice - you eat sugar cane directly - so as a refreshing drink - you just have to press the fresh sugar cane. then you get an almost colorless juice! you can drink it like that! it's only when you process it - i.e. boil it down - that the sugar cane juice turns brown: so you must have done something wrong! or you want that brown, caramelized taste! I don't think so: you boil it down in pots - and the sugar, cane sugar, just burns! actually it's just about reducing the moisture in the sugar cane juice! I'm more technically oriented: I would use a spray dryer to let the moisture evaporate: then you get the solid components without the moisture. but it probably tastes different: I don't know! whenever you heat something up, you destroy something: it is lost forever! I'm trying, but I don't have room to grow sugar cane! but I'm working on it! why? I made my own sweet potato jam - just like you make jam: spreadable! I left out all the thickeners that make this batata con chocolate sliceable. admittedly, it's actually something different because you can serve it as a dessert with cheese, soft cheese and it looks better when sliced! my sweet potato jam looks like cacacacacacacaca because of the dark brown color: not very attractive! but it has the advantage: I can use it anywhere - so it's very versatile: add a dollop of it to a slice of smoked Russian processed cheese (it's firm and sliceable) - and voila, you have culture, class - you have something of higher quality, exciting, inspiring! and it tastes good too - this salty, this sweet - complementing each other..... or with a slice of buffalo cheese - that's brine cheese - add a dollop of my sweet potato jam: and the same thing happens: voila - that's food culture. or a pancake - better a salty one than a sweet one: add a dollop of my sweet potato jam..... that's how I want it! a burger with tomato ketchup: how random and not so great! but with my sweet potato jam: voila - that brings a completely different eating experience - you'll get addicted to it! that takes your body to another level! when I was little - the family doctor once said to me: if there's something there that's not normal - close your eyes and listen to yourself! yes, that's how it is! very simple - but nobody does it: the problems are obvious - and the German of today is the stupid German! but of course: I'm looking for things from the past - which no longer exist today - and of course there are memories associated with them! beautiful memories, always! these governments are our end: so I'll sit down and celebrate the old, good - when it comes to an end! Germany was never as stupid as it is today - deliberately stupid! be careful and stay relaxed! with that in mind: best wishes from me to you from Berlin detlef
