Good video. As an artist, I have a lot of reasons to dislike generative AI, and it's been upsetting to see that extending to content creation as well.

(yap warning) So a little comment about the style of the scripts: Chat GPT has been fed a TON of information and articles from the internet, but its style has been formatted more around text reviews and such. It's easier to give your text processing AI data from a typed out article 4-odd million times than it is to manually transcribe 4-ish million videos into words to feed it. Because of that, you'll notice that most "scripts" you get from ChatGPT sound like essays or written articles because... Well, that's what it learned to write. That's why it translates so weirdly into video scripts; it's not meant for it. I'm not saying that it's 100% possible to tell when something is AI, but people familiar with writing or video work will often have an instinctual "this is weird" feeling.

Sonic Forces (in my opinion) isn't a bad game. It's mid, and a little overhated. Yeah, the story is crappy, and tries way too hard to be edgy, but it's not the worst. I think one reason why people hate this game (or at least why I midly hate this game) is because THIS is the successor to Sonic Mania. Sonic Mania was a cool return to 2D, with excellent sprite art, music, a simple but sweet story and good level design. It feels like an extreme amount of whiplash to go from peak, to mid again. It's like "THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MANIA? Yikes." Sure, the phantom ruby returning was cool, but there was no reason for Classic to show up. "It's been generations since I've seen you!" ...and maybe that was for the best. Sorry buddy. It's a little difficult to imagine them still using the phantom ruby without teleporting classic as well. I mean, idk maybe after Super Sonic beats the crap outta Robotnik for the 2837393732883rd time, the phantom ruby makes the same portal but it doesn't bring classic with it? Idk, the set up at the end of mania kinda sealed the deal. But, there definitely is a way to fix it. Speaking of classic, his gameplay. The dropdash in this game is...oh my goodness. I don't even want to talk about it. And the 2D? SEGA. Sonic Team. Have you not gotten it by now that 2D SECTIONS ARE NOT GOOD. STOP. And classics music..tries so hard to be genesis it's embarrassing. Sega, you tried with Sonic 4. Were your ears not bleeding? Who did they let in the studio. I swear to Chaos..but uh, Ghost Town was good. Speaking of nostalgia pandering/bait!...the lack of new levels.. Yeah, I'm sorry but GREEN HILL AGAIN??! Sorry, I mean "Heh, more like SAND HILL!" "GET OU-" Green Hill, Chemical Plant, Death Egg.. really? I like these zones, but YOU'RE MAKING ME NOT. DO BETTER. The character creator, oh, the character creator...it just felt super random and unnecessary? Like sure, I like the idea of making your own character to play as, with each species having cool abilities, sure! But like..why not just have rookie be a new character? Y'know, the red wolf guy? Glasses? Yeah. Him. Like it would be cool if they made him a new character, who's just a chill guy who lowkey dgaf. Ok, but seriously. It would be cool if Rookie was this new character with his own personality, yada yada. Let's talk about more nostalgia pandering! Bringing back old villains..yayy.. Ok, but why ZAVOK? WHY IS HE A BOSS? The Chaos clone gets one tapped by base classic sonic, not even having any time, and then just disappears. BUT ZAVOK IS A BOSS? I'm not against the Deadly Six or whatever it was in Sonic Lost The Ability To Make Good Games™ (Just kidding, the newer games are good..! Not you, superstars.) but he's so random???? What about like uhhh..uhhhhhhh Fang the Sniper idk???? Like, they purely brought back Metal Sonic and Shadow for nostalgia and hype. So, main villain..Infinite.. He's..ok..i guess. Better than Zavok. I have no comment for him because 1) Didn't care for him 2) He wasn't interesting enough for me to pay attention to his build up and lore. The wisps..oh, the wisps.. didn't we like already save them?
