Gooseberry Bridge Farm
США
Добавлен 8 янв 2021
Gooseberry Bridge Farm is located in the Ozark Mountains of Southwest Missouri. We moved from the typical “house at the end of a cul-de-sac in a subdivision” in 2016 to our little 11.6 acre farm and haven’t looked back!
We are a multi-generation homestead raising our 6 children, and strive to provide our kids with rich experiences and a strong work ethic that will benefit them through their lives.
In addition to producing and preserving as much of our own foods as possible, we also operate a you-pick flower farm with different varieties of flowers throughout the year. Our goal is to be as self sufficient as possible, within the boundaries of what is realistic in today’s world.

Setting up a Wireless Bridge on our Mesh WiFi Network
Просмотров 17214 дней назад
We love our TP Link Deco Mesh network to give us consistent WiFi across our farm. To handle spans between building that are too far away for the Wireless Backhaul feature of Mesh, and where running a wire is either too far or too difficult, we use Wireless Bridges. We've used different ones over the years, but I'm really liking some of the smaller details of this UNLA Bridge. It is also very ef...

Garden tour & getting kids into the garden!
I love your pantry and always look forward to your tours every year! Just lovely!
Love it. Same this weekend in Tennessee
That first bunch especially is gorgeous! 😍
Great side hobby . Keep it up my man!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good job
How long did it take to freeze dry?
24 -30 hours or so, depending on how much you put in a batch and if it is frozen before it starts or not - the freeze dryer automatically determines the time.
@@gooseberrybridgefarm thank you for responding!!
hi, do you spray or treat dried flowers with anything after they are dried, or after you make an arrangement? thank you
I spray wreaths after they're completed with an acrylic UV protective clear coat but I haven't really figured out if it is 100% necessary or helpful
@@gooseberrybridgefarm ok thank you!
Great video man!
Fab info thank you for giving such a simple but in-depth explanation just what I needed to blow away all tech voodoo stuff people like to put out on channels thank you I now have a great understanding to take the leap!
Thank you for the kind words!
Thanks for the information. You guys are good workers and innovative! 🌱
My dream!😊
Enjoyed the video ❤ I’m new to your channel ❤
This is so cool, I googled how to freeze dry meat and this is the first vid I clicked on.. I one day would love to get a freeze dryer .. one thing I’d like to know is if you can season the meat like with salt and seasoning before freeze drying that way just add the liquid part?
We don’t so we have more options but there is no reason you couldn’t add seasoning or salt before freeze drying - you just have to make sure to get as much of the grease off as possible - fat doesn’t freeze dry
Their warranty sucks. They lie about it being 3 yrs but it's not. I spent $3600 for a large with a leak in the site glass and they won't warranty it. I was going to buy an extra large but that's not going to happen
Please try roses!
Have you tried roses
Most Roses are too big to fit
You need to upgrade your audio. No offense.
Love it 🥰 i did the same thing this week 😊 blessed with all the goodness of the garden 🪴
This is awesome! Any chance you have another video on this coming out soon? I am sure you have improved the process even further! Be blessed.

FRREEZE DRY HOT SAUCE PERFECTLY FINE JUST FREEZE IT PROPERLY
My hot sauce recipe has so much sugar in it it puffed up like taffy which is not practical and quite messy - remove/reduce the sugar and it works fine
Cool, but what if I don’t have bunnies
@@AV2_stuf maybe you need bunnies to grow herbs for 🤷🏻♀️
I always say, I'll love having these little spoon/cherry/grape tomatoes to snack on while I garden. 😂 Nope, they just get annoying and after a couple of weeks no one wants to eat them anymore!
yesss - I'm experimenting with roasted cherry tomato salsa recipes this year cause this is going to get out of hand VERY quickly
Those flowers can be fried. Delicious! They are the male flowers. Pick before they get the beetles.
the beetles are there the moment the flowers open.. or. do you fry them before they open? ever tried them in an air fryer? (deep frying is a pain with the mess)
Leaving the stems on and soaking them will allow the flowers to soak up the most amount of water. A good watering the night before you cut can help tons.
watering doesn't make the difference that soaking the actual flowers does for me .. I recently tried soaking them in warm water and that worked even better for Zinnias. every single one came out perfectly.
What fence are you using?

Dang can I come live with you for the apocalypse?
Everyone should have a pantry like this and if they have a garden should grow food. Cause damn I’m sick of talking to people asking why people are starving….it’s like holy hell you gave up skills for a government to pull food shortages on you anytime they want 🤪
That pantry tho, dreams
How amazing
I'm curious, what is all those preserved goods for?
Probably a doomsday prepper
Impending death and destruction <3
@@nootnoot-2 Okay. I can see that....but then please answer me WTF one would do with beet powder. Please.
@@FloridaKatLady you could put some in smoothies or other recipes like brownies to make them healthier I think
@@FloridaKatLadyyou can make beet pasta sauce
Where can I buy this and what is it called, pls?
It’s a proofer box - this one is from @everythingkitchens
Thank you for this video!! I wanted more thoughts on using and maintaining cloth napkins and all the videos I found when searching were on how to make them. That’s helpful, but not what i need!
we've been doing this for 15 years, so if you have any more questions just ask!
sell em!
And eat everything 😋
I would love to have them for my backyard but I would only need about 4 for a couple of days and I don't know a company that does that small of an amount.
We’ve also used rabbits to mow, maybe that would work for you? .. they are contained in a tractor (cage on the ground) and all you have to do is move it daily.
@@gooseberrybridgefarm Right now it is way to hot for the rabbits. Actually I don't know that for sure...I have heard that high temps are really bad for them and we are in the 100's for the next two weeks. I would actually just want the goats to come in and eat and then leave. There is a company here that does that for large vegetation areas.
Most rabbits don’t do well in the heat, but there are some breeds that can tolerate up to about 100 - 100+ would still be tough though
I would think just leave them there longer or get 3 more
Part of the point here is it never looks as even as mowing with a machine - over grazing doesn’t fix that
Good onions are so useful and versatile. Why not share the bounty? My friends and I share produce with each other pretty often.☺️
I shared onion starts with all my friends so they all grew their own ! 🤪
Salsa, french onion soups to freeze. Dice and freeze some for adding into a meal? Dehydrate for soup mixes?
Wow, good job. I'm still learning.😊
I get removing the suckers, but why remove the leaves? You are just robbing your plant of its potential to create and store energy through photosynthesis.
Removing lower leaves helps prevent fungal infection from soil splashing up on the leaves when it rains
Neem oil is pretty awesome
It doesn’t really help with adult squash bugs or cucumber beetles, and it is harmful to beneficial insects 🤷🏻♀️
@@gooseberrybridgefarm I thought it was not harmful to beneficial bugs. good luck 💚
Squash is such a pain in the ass
I hate them
I bet it smell DELANOS L DELICIOUS in there!!!😊
😮. Wow. I wish I planted more onions
😍😍😍😍
I love onions too 🧅
