SLACKERJAZZ is a dreamy, grungey, jazzy duo from Chicago IL. Noisy & Sultry. Equal parts introspective and nonsensical.

Slackerjazz's cover of the 90's cult band, SOUL COUGHING, from New York. Soul Coughing was a phenomenal group that released 3 albums in the 90's. Their largest singles were "Circles", "Super Bon Bon", "Soundtrack to Mary". They had a few other singles, including "Soft Serve". The lead singer, Mike Doughty, described the sound of the band as "DEEP SLACKER JAZZ"... This is exactly where we stole our moniker from. We wanted to emulate the sound of Soul Coughing, while also putting our own spin on it.
