Magic circle is a part of crochet basics. It is also called as magic ring / magic loop. It is used in the beginning to make circles in crocheting. You are probably referring to the term amigurumi. Amigurumi is the art of crocheting stuffed toys, dolls, etc.

This is a T-shirt yarn. It is mostly used to make purses, bags, baskets, etc. I am currently making a purse with this yarn. Will share the process video in the couple of days ☺️

You found it helpful 🫶🏻 The size of the magic circle will become smaller and smaller when you wrap it around 4 fingers vs three fingers vs two fingers… Choose yours, as per the requirement of the stitches you want to make in the magic circle. More stitches bigger the circle and vice versa. Ultimately pull the tail to tighten the circle.

Hi, I also want to add that earlier I used to hold my crochet hook with the pencil grip which made my stitches tighter. Later, I changed the grip to knife grip that helped me with smoother stitches, and keeping up with the tension. I have mentioned about these grips in my RUclips video for absolute beginners also.
