John Henry- A Legend Born on the Railroad in Talcott WV
We took a trip to Talcott WV to visit this incredibly humble, but very special park next to the C&O railroad and Great Bend Tunnel. There is so much to the truth of legend John Henry that is forgotten.
What a special moment for our train loving family. It's so wonderful to know more about who he really was and what he really did.

We are just so happy when we head to a train show and everyone there is so welcoming and kind to our train obsessed kiddo. I grew up in Jacksonville, That Wilimington waterfront one is awesome. My grandmother also worked at Lionel in Michigan in the 70s, wish I would not have destoryed the train set she gave me and my brother.
It was the best one there! I'm sorry about your train set, but your grandmother sounds great. I'll bet you have some great memories.
The camera really doesn't do the scenery justice. Such a beautiful ride through the valley!

Not that we saw. We need to go back on a different Saturday because I think club members might bring their own trains, so we'd see some different ones.
