My name is James and I'm an aspiring pilot from Malaysia. I'm currently 26 this year (2023) and I'm going to document my journey on how I started in the aviation industry and to pursue my childhood dream since I was a kid.

Hi, id like to know if joining a flight school is compulsory, or if you are able to just join an airline’s cadet program instead?
Hi there, please know that an airline program is where the airline takes care of your training from start till you’re online working as you have a job guaranteed at the end of the program. This could include enrolling you into their partnered flight school or their own facilities at their digression. While joining a flight school on your own get’s you prepared to have a pilot’s license. The only difference is you’ll have to apply for employment on your own. I hope this helps!
If I were to join Airasia’s cadet program, do I need both SPM and diploma or just SPM?
As per their last requirement SPM would suffice. However please do look up and check if there's any changes time to time when applying. Hope this helps!
The caam does not accept UEC Result right sir?
For foreign qualification in Malaysia, you’ll have to confirm with CAAM and MQA if other qualification other than SPM & IGCSE is accepted. Otherwise they may advise you to sit for the local examination as required.
Hey!!!we have to do the physics and physchology exam before flight school right? So how about people with arts subjects???
You don’t have to worry about that as they will provide you a booklet to study for the entry assessment! I wish you all the best, I will be taking the test early next month !

I appreciate it so much! I'm also from the arts stream. Considering the Physics notes, they are not very difficult since we have learned some of them in Science, so yeah. All the best!

Yes, the school accepts international students. In fact we currently have few foreigners from Maldives and Bangladesh. Hope this helps! 😄
@@MalaysianPilot Thank you for your reply. What about loans for not Malaysian citizens?
At the moment local banks provide loans for Malaysians as far as I know, perhaps you could get in touch with them to see if they do provide any services for foreigners. Alternatively, it's best if you could get loans from your local country that provides education loans for overseas studies.

Sorry to hear, perhaps you could look up for any incentives provided as such. It's a little rare to hear scholarships or loan not provided for education.
Hello, may I please know more about the Physics entry assessment? Like what topics of Physics are included in the exam? I will take the entrance assessment by the end of this month :)
They will provide you a booklet to study for the exam. Everything that is asked will be based on the booklet. Straight forward multiple choice questions. I hope this helps, and wishing you all the best. Look forward to see you in MFA 😄

@@MalaysianPilot Hi, may I ask is it currently easy to get a job as a pilot? Because some of my friends told me their relatives could not find a job after graduating from flight school for 2 or 3 years (currently)
@@池敬贤 Hi, I’m not sure about your friend’s relative. But at the moment I’m not even graduated (2months to go) and I’m currently going through AirAsia intake for their new batch of Pilots. Cross fingers I’ll get through this I’ll have a job before i even graduate. I welcome you to follow my IG where you can see my journey for the stages of interview. So to answer your question, it really depends. Not everything is set. Hope this helps
Can we go to flight scool after spm without get a degrees first
Yes, as the qualification requirements to join flight school in Malaysia is SPM or O levels there's no reason why you can't join after SPM. I hope this helps. 😄

Is flight school only for rich students?
Not necessarily, many other cadets have come from different backgrounds. There's also funding assistance for this who require them. I hope this helps.
