Welcome! :) This channel is dedicated to: DIY, papercraft, decoupage, papier-mâché, air dry clay, stenciling, textile craft and more. My intention is to upload craft tutorials, tips, and ideas. Pimp up a lantern, using pressed wild flowers, preserving a shard of summer. I´ve been using "bakery paper bags with windows", making the same thing before. This is the closest I've come to imitate and replacing that particular material, which apparently isn't easy to find everywhere. I was thinking tissue paper for wrapping presents..there are so many colors and the paper is cheap and transparent.

What could you use instead of the paper bag bit please 😊
Gift tissue paper will work.
@@shelbycaro I believe it's possible to use tissue paper. Perhaps it will not be as transparent, but with light inside or letting daylight shine through, it would look nice as well. I believe it's also looking good, if the pressed flowers are flat and not so bulky. Good luck and thank you so much for commeting 🙏💗

Would wax paper work?
It might work. I´ve tried a "greaseproof paper" (smörgåspapper in Swedish) used in the kitchen (not siliconised as baking paper/baking parchment paper). I found that: - It didn´t give the transparency similar to the window from the bread bag, but with the light inside or when catching the daylight from a window, it looks great. - It´s also a bit thicker and therefore slightly less flexible. I creased the paper many times to make it more pliable, then when the paper was attached to the glass, the little wrinkles disappeared. - The adhesion to the glass with the decoupage glue, worked well, but I used more my index finger than the brush to put the glue on to the paper. - Each type of paper seems to have its own characteristics. Espero que encuentres esos por ahí también. Las "ventanas" son un material interesante para hacer este tipo de trabajo. !Saludos y buena suerte! ❤️ ❤️

@@tracynonumbers I guess tissue paper would work as well, although it might not be as transparent? But on the other hand, with a light inside or with daylight shining through, it would not matter.
