Drug Recognition Expert is not approved by any actual medical professionals. It's junk science used to arrest everyone, impaired or not, because cops can't actually tell who is impaired and who isn't. They just arrest everyone, boosting their stats to win MADD awards and prizes, qualify for NHTSA grants, and generate revenue for themselves, the motor vehicle registry, the courts, and MADD. The cop gets credit for making an arrest regardless of the outcome and there is no penalty for guessing wrong. The concept of ruining an innocent person's life is of zero concern to a cop. Ecen when blood tests come back clean (months later, after the person has spent time in jail, been fired, and paid thousands of dollars to an attorney), the cop still believes his "opinion" was correct and the blood test was wrong. There is no legitimate reason to be using junk science (and typically perjury as well) to arrest and comvict innocent people of DUI or any crime. The field sobriety tests are equally fake science, and simply serve as a ruse by which to claim a person failed or refused, justifying arrest. Again, even if the person does the tests perfectly, the cop simply lies and makes stuff up. Many people cannot do the tests even with a BAC of 0.000.

You might want to mention that the Drug Recognition Expert training is junk science used to arrest innocent people. The police are basically making medical decisions (i.e. praxticong medicine) with no medical license. You might also want to mention how even when blood tests come back clean the cops are taught to claim and believe that the person was impaired anyhow and to make excuses for the exculpatory test result (e.g. the test wasn't sensitive enough or the supposed drug dissipated by the time of the test). This training does not "get the job done." The only job it gets done is to pad their stats so they can qualify for NHTSA grant money, get MADD awards and prizes, and be able to collect fines and fees from those lacking the resources to fight fake charges. Wrecking the lives of innocent people using junk science (and generally also police perjury) serves no legitimate purpose. It's despicable.
