This is an incomparable song by Bobby Goldsboro sung by Vikki Carr's incomparable voice.

Miss Vikki is the best female singer I've ever seen, and I've been around since Eisenhower was president. As far as her depth of emotion is concerned, NO singer has surpassed her, and only a couple have equaled her: notably Patsy Cline and Karen Carpenter. Neither one of them had her voice, though.

Just a stupendous song and her voice, wow! She showed the emotion of the song. Thank you, Vikki was an amazing artist!

I remember this song in the 80s growing up and being bitter one day but this song somehow changed my bitterness. I’m 50 now and enjoying life.
