2022 Grassroots Australian Hard Enduro Championship - Hillstorm Relentless Challenge

Clip from Hillstorm Relentless Challange race up to checkpoint 3 before my GoPro battery dying. Prologued great at position 44/258. Sunday's race was extremely fatiguing but lots of fun. Bike ran flawlessly but did suffer a flat front tyre and no rear brake from all the rocks on the track. Managed to get to checkpoint 4 approximately 10-15 minutes after the 4 hour cut off.

HI. I also have a 38 smart Carb SC2 with a DF0-11 metering rod, I would like to fit the S3 Extremo and the flywheel weight. How many clicks do you use on the smart carb?

Thanks Chris, I can't say for sure but I don't imagine it would have too much effect on the longevity of the engine. However I have read that low comp heads are claimed to make the bike run cooler, would could possibly have a positive effect on engine lifespan

Thanks mate, I run a smartcarb. So no jetting basically

Nice review, and you confirm the extrême S3 head is a good choucroute! Do you know there is other manufacture for the flywheel weight ?
How well did it hold up in the rocks at dog bone extreme?
It held up good mate, 6 hours ride time over the weekend. Reasonably harsh terrain on tyres and all knobbies are all intact, looking good for atleast another 6-10 hours. Decent traction, definitely didn't let me down at all. I'll use the tyre at Hillston, I think it will shine there

The bike's cycling is incredible, very strong engine, good map, suspension beyond words, the only problem with this bike is the electric starter, I bought the same one as yours and so far only joy, the only complaint is the electric starter, which after 22 hours is already failing and everyone who bought it has the same problem. I saw in the video that you put another start button, I put the same one and it gets water in and starts to fail, every now and then you have to disassemble, clean and lubricate it
All great points mate. I agree, the starter has been my main concern with the bike. I'm at similar hours to you and luckily I haven't faced any issues so far. To try my best to mitigate the potential issues with the starter I have always kicked the bike when cold and have been replacing the oil in the starter system every time I do a gearbox oil change

How did you jet the carb please ?
Am looking at getting the 300 pro. How do you think it would go for cross country racing?
For XC or traditional enduro, I think the bike would be perfect out of the box. Perhaps some small changes to gearing/jetting etc but nothing massive

Great vid.. How nuts was the downhill section past checkpoint 2, getting the bike down through that stuffed me. Got down to the bottom eventually, went around and starting to head back up to checkpoint 3 but with 10 min to go me about 10 others just said f$%k it lol
Thanks mate, was certainly a challenge making our way down those slippery rocks. Would have loved to see how the Gold riders handled that section
