    Really interesting video. Authentication and saving credentials is such a rewarding thing when its implemented. As a user you really take it for granted but as a dev you appreciate the complexity. I want to ask have you used a template or is it all from scratch, I do like your login screen and background

      Thank you for the kind words! I'm building everything from scratch and learning as I go. I had no idea how much work went into authenticating a user. Now I understand why so many tutorials simply use Google Auth or NextAuth instead of creating their own authentication system. For the chat UI, I'm going to make one that looks like a standard messenger app. I still need to learn about this thing called WebSockets. I think it's how you connect users who are messaging each other.

    HI Izzy! Thank you for inspiring non-coders like myself. I am 38 years old today, And after procrastinating for almost 17 years, I think it's about time I decide to upgrade my skills and learn to code. I truly want to build some AI projects in mind, but I only know that I need to learn python and node.js to begin with. Still enjoying these videos bro. Keep it up. Did you do a dopamine detox or something to keep your focus so high?

    • @MrItzreal
      @MrItzreal 4 месяца назад

      I'm sorry for the long reply but I just wanted to cover my thought process: Regarding focus, one thing I do is purposely put my phone far away and keep my Apple Watch on. This prevents me from mindlessly scrolling. However, I struggle with maintaining focus if I get on Twitter, so I periodically have to redirect myself back to studying. I don't take any medication to stay focused, but I've trained my body to wake up at 6:00 am Monday through Friday to study, to the point that even on weekends I struggle to sleep past 7:00 am. I think the key has been consistency. I truly recommend showing up no matter what. Create a schedule for yourself and force yourself to establish the habit of studying from a set time to a set time. Keep in mind that the quality of our study sessions may vary. Some days I'm more efficient than others, but the consistency of studying five days a week at my set time makes the quality of individual sessions less important. I always end the session learning something new, so the concept of gradual learning really comes into play. One thing to point out is that I used my current life situation as fuel to make myself work hard every day. I don't like where I'm at professionally or financially. I never thought I would be changing career paths at 30 years old, but instead of complaining or being upset about it, I use it as fuel to motivate myself. I tell myself I'm making this sacrifice now, and it will pay off in the future.

      @@Yash-hl6ll I’m glad you are enjoying the content! I honestly started this channel not for viewership. I made it so I can look back a year from now and see how far I’ve come in this Software Engineering journey. This is why if you watch my videos you notice that they are not edited or anything. But thank you for the encouragement and also… I’m a big fan of South East Asian developers. For instance, India helps a lot when it comes to educational videos in tech. Here in the United States we highly appreciate your efforts of making free and accessible videos so people of all backgrounds can learn this awesome world of tech.
