Not only did Ulotaront not separate from placebo in phase 3, but asenapine also acts as a TAAR1 agonist already!

I have my doubts about the tolerability of KarXT. I don't think it helps much for studying or being motivated.

caffeine agonize adenosine receptors in the brain. The same way anti psycotics work. so they learned something from nature. But after 70 years there is still nothing better on the market. if all the bright minds on the world worked togheter there could be a medicine without all these side effects one which does not includes loss of motivation

With KarXT, isn’t there a disconnect with brain and body? Don’t they have to add something in to not affect body receptors, only brain receptors? It would be nice to have a truly weight neutral medicine. I’ve gained 135 lbs and only 4’11” so it bothers me. I used to love to exercise. Also, I wish something could be discovered which heals brain from long term marijuana usage. Probably destroyed some pathway. Antipsychotics also somewhat dim the light in the soul and cause dependency so they make the disease progressively worse. I wish for a miracle med.

I hope these damn psychiatrists prescribe Karxt for me and my brother. My memory is shit right now. risdone has some anti cholingergic burden, it's not = 0. So I'm basically risking myself for cognitive problems now and demntia in old age. I don't want to think about his any longer. I'm already at a point where I've lowered my worries about this because it has been 10 years already, but I've stopped exercising / running, sometimes get a ton of stress. KarXt is already as effective. Can some psychiatrist guide me on this, please. I consult online now to reduce costs, any chance these guys will prescribe me this medication. The psychiatrists here for example seem concenred by KarXt. I don't want it as a second medication, pls. Please psychiatrists. I hope the supply chain bless us all.

Thanks for your research and clinical work! I participated in about 6 studies with Harvard University Psychiatry/Schizophrenia. They occurred at BIDMC, McLean Hospital, MGH. Many hours in fMRI, neuropsychological matrix, survey, and modal tx. Two studies of TMS for Schizophrenia. Not easy. Thanks a million + 1. ❤

The problem is people who descend into madness lack or lose logical thinking. No amount of medication will fix attitudes, the religious brain or fantasy thinking.

It’s always interesting to hear more discussions on new Muscarinic Receptor drugs. In your opinion do you think these drugs could treat the primary anhedonia, amphetamine+alcohol or even chronic mild stress model of anhedonia seen in many people that has since gone untreated. If so to what degree do these allow them to restore and take control of their life?

I’ve heard a lot of things about KARxt and comparatively betel nut areca chew I have never really heard that Troposium specifically has a lot of side effects. What are they? I just wonder truly how effective KARxt is for negative symptoms and fatigue, enhancing personality, quality of life? I read somewhere that they don’t think it would work for primary negative symptoms but also wonder if it would work for the behavioral part of addictive disorders, addictive thinking and maybe enhance creativity? All in all It does sound like a deeply complex multifaceted drug and hope that is the case
