Wonderful interview ❤
Great interview - I’d just liked to have given at least an acknowledgment to Gayle Moran, his talented wife of many years.
Don’t know if he met LRH in his afterlife but man Chick was incredible. What an artist in the purest sense he was. Icon ❤
"Friends" remains my favorite Chick Corea album, and that says it all. Thank you, Chick. You made life better for so many people. RIP!
It's still hard to believe he's not with us. The music still is, though.
Poncho Sanchez !!! One of my favorite artists !! No sunday morning starts without a song by Poncho Sanchez !
I saw him play piano at a small community college in '99 with Gary Burton on xylophone. Chick opened up the top of the piano and started playing it by pulling the strings which I had never seen nor heard of.
I am going to need to leave now to go rescue kids dangling 1000 feet in the air as they rode a skyride to school in Islamabad. 1st day of school chaos
Mom loved you.
If so.
You helped me be in 2 recitals at the tulsa unitarian church.
We're you mrs berry?
We're you my 3rd piano teacher wver?
Maybe it's in our horoscope
Maybe it's in the stars
But Tony C I hate you and you hate me.
I admit I overuse the word TOTALLY
I have totally been a huge fan of chick corea.
Chick’s music and playing and bands are of the highest order.
Amazing interview thanks 🙏🏽
Love hearing the stories and history!!
excente entrevista.
I’m so glad I got to see him in person.
When was this recorded?.. what great knowledge sharing!. Thank you .
Keep working on your goatee. It’s crucial to your interviewing prowess
Poncho your story sounds like mine in a way same place Griffith Park . I played with those. Cuban cats Ricardo Rivera ,Long John oliva , Johnito Florez , Victor Biaz , Pepe , Indio ect
RIP master
Priceless information about foundation laying, ground breaking jazz geniuses. Totally priceless
6:40 analogies? 11 13 17
Thank you. Priceless interview.
I do not agree with god taking this man away so soon !! 🥲
Just found this-excellent interview. Hope you can have him back for another deep dive
Fred Armisen in disguise got one of his last interviews....
Wonderful interview. It's also the first time I heard Chick mention the great Glenn Gould. Goosebumps.
I know right! It made me react out loud. Makes perfect sense tho. Glenn was an absolute genius. 🖤
@@LisaBellaDonnaMusic And the interviewer doesn’t follow that thread. I could’ve killed him!!! How interesting it would have been.
@@Piratebreadstick True, but I rarely run into musicians or musical lovers who know who Glenn Gould is.
@@LisaBellaDonnaMusic there is not really much cross polarisation between genres. To me it’s the most natural thing in the world that Chick would love Glenn, and possibly vice versa. Nice to find a kindred spirit :)
@@Piratebreadstick Truly and likewise! 🖤
haha the banjo imitation Love it!
I'm so glad I had the privilege to hear and see chick.
Chick Corea was simply a musical genius! Chick brought eternal joy to the world and will be dearly missed! R.I.P. ARMANDO ANTHONY "CHICK" COREA.
Still finding it hard to know he is physically gone. Miss him very much. His art will live forever.
RIP chick corea My Teacher my Mentor I love you Jazz clasik
Rip my hero
I'd shoot myself in the leg to hear Ponch sing "Wooly Bully" 🤯
"...at one time I WAS a skinny person..." Me too!!!.🤰😂.
Poncho Sanchez is my inspiration. I started playing congas because of his great musical influence.
I'll admit: you want to punch Scott Goldman as looking like every hipster douche guy you've met in your local jazz venue who ONLY knows Love Supreme and Kind of Blue, but he asked every question I would have, and a few I hadn't thought of.
Great interview. Chick Corea was the consummate jazz musician. He left so much behind for future generations to learn and understand about the music. His passing is a great loss to the jazz world.
You didn't need to use "jazz" in your comment! 🙂
Que maravilla escuchar al MAESTRO, un privilegio
What a life, what a guy, what a hero to so many. Thank you Chick.
We will miss you forever, your music stays with us. Thank you for sharing your music. 🙏
A very comprehensive interview.❤️
"New Yawk at the Vangawd"... still can't believe he is gone ... seemed forever young!
