Chickasaw Mudd Puppies - Do You Remember - 1991
Просмотров 7 тыс.7 лет назад
Possibly making its RUclips premiere is "Do You Remember" from the Chickasaw Mudd Puppies' 1991 album 8 Track Stomp. I happened upon this on a public access show called Noise Network that broadcast on Channel 34 out of Athens, Ga. From Wikipedia: The Chickasaw Mudd Puppies are an American rock band, formed by Brant Slay (vocalist, washboard, harmonica) and Ben Reynolds (vocalist, percussion, el...
Swamp Zombies - Creeps - 1990
Просмотров 4,2 тыс.7 лет назад
For maybe the first time on RUclips, it's the Swamp Zombies with "Creeps" from their wonderful 1990 album "Scratch and Sniff Car Crash." This was recorded over the air from Channel 34 out of Athens, GA from a public access show called 30 Minutes of Rock and was my introduction to these guys. The quality isn't great but since I couldn't find this anywhere else, here it is! As the hosts say, they...

Lava Love - Suzy Keeps Telling Me - 1992
Cool to find this. I forgot how it starts in 3/4 and goes to 4/4. Scott wrote it in 3/4 and then Steve suggested trying it 4/4 with the driving beat, which inspired the bass line and then everything fell into place. Very well crafted track listening back 24 years later. Steve was such a special dude. Miss him so much.
Awesome and fun(ny) song! Thank you for uploading this!
0:48, yeah! I no longer enjoy comic books.
That guy was the father in Wargames, and he stiffed Elaine on an episode of Taxi. She still hasn't forgotten about it!
Sou fã do Peter do Ei Nerd desde essa época.
Cool!
One of the best bands I saw at ECU
One of the best I ever saw at ECU
Lava Love was admired, but not as much as they should have.
This is a great song, Scott Vitt, please put this back in your set!
Muffy's dad was also in Chappelle's black racist sketch, as the TV news guy
o oo0000 o0000ooooo
What I would've done to have Devo play at my bar mitzvah lemme tell ya
Praise "BOB "
Aren't Bat Mitzvahs done when you turn 13? Muffy looks at least 16.
We Are Devo
Concur with Michaelmongelluzzo below! Just saw them in Oct and they SLAPPED! People who think all they are are Whip It are closed minded F*ks. They are a freakin performance art movement and A LOT more!
I remember watching this in 9th grade when it first came out.
I loved this show.
It's weird how Jami Gertz actually looks older as Muffy on here than she does as Star in Lost Boys. I guess it's the clothes.
I saw this back then....as this masterpiece aired... i was about 16.
Johnny Slash brought me here.
Muffy was never the same after this
The actor portraying Buffy's father also played Molly's father on Facts of Life. The mother was portrayed by Marj Dusay who was recurring as Blair's mother on Facts of Life on and off from 1981-1988 Jamie Gertz who played Buffy was on Facts of Life in the 1983-1984 season as a recurring similar character, Boots.
One of those rare good shows that sneaks its way onto the airwaves.
“ you and that liberal husband of yours have raised two adorable little Fascists “ lol 😂
fuck this song kicks ass
I need one this longsleeve devo merch
Don't judge Devo until you see them live.even haters will love them live.they put on one of the best live shows ever!!!
No lie, they are incredible.
Oh yeah!! I saw DEVO in concert with Blondie in 2012 in Saint Augustine, FL!! STILL rocked, even in 2012! 🤘😎🤘🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I saw them live about 20 years ago. They were 50 something and kicked ass and they were one of the best live bands I ever saw.
Other than 80's girl, Jami Gertz in the movie, Devo was the best part.
Trippy when you realize Dorothy Zbornak's sister Gloria and Blair Warner's mother were on a TV show episode with Devo...
I ♥️ Techno pop
Energy dome off to DEVO that they even squeezed in some bits of the french fry and donut along with the unhappy woman, and 3:52 was a nice touch with the suit and hair. Familiar faces for us old-timers: Dena Dietrich and Merritt Buttrick (1:00), Mother Nature hanging out with Captain Kirk's son. Later interrupted at 2:06 by Marj Dusay, who didn't get away with stealing Spock's brain some years earlier. And the gent doing the introduction, William Bogert, well, you'll see him some years later interviewing Clayton Bigsby.
The Genesis Device is not a weapon! It's a totally different head.
Jonny Slash is my spirit animal.
Totally different head...
@@americantoycoon9206 like, totally
Yes, I wanted to see him get together with Patti.
I loved this album so much and lost it in a move. This releases time capules in my brain, thanks and grrrr both at the same time :D
The dance that everyone is doing is what Carlton Banks was doing on the fresh prince of Belair in 1990, It's not his Original Dance.
I wish we could go back to before social media and before everyone had the internet at their fingertips constantly. Life was alot different.
You're so damn right!!
It's pronounced 'Devvo' not 'Deevo'
Its pronounced "Dee-Vo", it's in this song: ruclips.net/video/I3bF0N081TE/видео.html
How do two Liberal Parents raise two Facist kids? What was Muffy's mom saying?
Considering what's been going down in these times, that lady was spot on, down to a T.
GREAT!
I was in highschool & remebering this scene..seen devo at a signing back in 1982 at Tower Records!! They are awesome dude🤘
"The Only Thing I Care About" was another one. That just dropped from the face
My sister played this on her college radio station. Listened to this on tape over and over. Had to rewind to re-listen! Fantastic piece of music!
All costumes and visual gimmicks aside, DEVO could seriously rock. I remember being 11 years old, watching this, and shocked that this esoteric group would perform on a pretty mainstream adolescent sitcom. But I'm glad they did.
I remember this episode.. The preview made it the Friday Night Destination!
That's the first time I've seen people dancing on a tv show, like we actually did in the clubs.
Carlton Banks got his famous dance moves from the kids back in the early 80s.
Sorry, the Waitresses were cooler than Devo.
I bought this CD when it was new! Still sounds as good the 1st day it came out! Thanx for posting...this vid barely exists...One of the very first CDs I ever bought...1st 20 for sure...
I remember that the day after this aired, my best friend kept singing this and he would hold up his history book like Devo with the "crack" sound, and sing "everybody wants good thing, everybody wants a monumental good thing..."
The BEST PART!!!
In 1982 we didn’t question grandma hitting on high school freshmen boys.
