I might pre-order the Lionel Lionmaster Hudson. If I do, I'm definitely buying those passenger cars. Those passenger cars are pretty sick.

If you can pick up a TMCC locomotive at a good price it’s the best bang for buck!! I have the Vision line class A absolutely love it! I also have a K4 and M1 tmcc and they are both great runners!!

I never was a real fan of whistle steam. While I don't hate it i'm not a fan of at the same time. I sometimes see whistle steam as Lionel's excuse to justify the high cost of some locomotives they choose to have that feature. Not everybody wants whistle steam and with some locomotives they make.That's the only way you get that locomotive.Which with that feature it makes the price more expensive. If they would just offer those same locomotives that have whistle steam without them giving people the choice.Then that would make the price more justifiable for people. Instead of Lionel , just having the excuse as they have by having a take it or leave it attitud.

Cool. I like the TMCC version better, myself. The whistle is better and less is more, as far as crew talk is concerned. Either way, they both look good and are a nice addition to any layout. An excellent video, as always.

Great comparison and breakdown. I’ve run into similar comparisons. I can’t tell if Legacy just isn’t that much better of if TMCC was really just that good to begin with! 😅

Hey, I'm 71 and it's running just as well as I do. (Kinda-sorta, and I'm referring to how I stack up against that 2026!) The scary thing is I'll betcha those old Post-Wars will still be running when todays "computers on wheels" have given up the ghost!

Nice! I’m catching up on your videos, since I thought that I had subscribed, but I hadn’t. Doh! That is a fine locomotive, for sure. The tender looks like an updated 2426w, like what came with the 773 and the 726. I only have one modern steam engine, an MTH Ps-4, with the fan driven smoke unit. It smokes like crazy, but it’s fun to run and fill the basement with smoke. I like the sound on that Hudson. Excellent bell and whistle, with no obnoxious crew babble. Either way, I’ll be catching up with all of you at York, so I can get some pointers on editing and talk about our layouts. An excellent video, as always.

Very nice! I like the way that you can change the temperature and color, which is a plus, for sure. My layout is in the unfinished section of my basement, so I hung a string of construction lights around the room. All 100 watt LED’s. It works quite nicely. There are trim pieces that you can get, to hide the wires, which will help clean things up a bit. An excellent update.

Very nice! The military sets help make a layout complete. The MASH car is pretty cool and iconic. I have a few Army Jeeps on my layout, but no flat cars for them. I’ll have to rectify that, maybe at York. An excellent video, for sure.
