    • @TeacherTransition
      @TeacherTransition 8 месяцев назад

      Hey there! Contrary to the common misconception that associates customer success with retail customer service, the role of a Customer Success Specialist extends far beyond just troubleshooting issues. These professionals play a crucial role in ensuring customers not only have a positive experience but also derive maximum value from the product or service they've invested in. Customer Success Specialists act as strategic partners, working closely with clients to understand their specific needs and goals. Their primary focus is on proactively guiding customers throughout their journey, from onboarding to ongoing usage and beyond. They're instrumental in helping clients unlock the full potential of the product or service. In essence, Customer Success Specialists aim to build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with customers by ensuring they achieve their desired outcomes with the product or service. It's a proactive and strategic role that goes beyond reactive problem-solving, focusing on the overall success and satisfaction of the customer.

    It’s very simple: would you want to be the football coach if you were required to play everyone, had a team with 300 players, and had to continually alternate strings of players to get everyone in, just because their parents thought that their kids should play football? Of course not. And who, under such conditions, would they be able to get to coach? Teaching public school academic subjects is equally ridiculous. School curriculums need to be much more variegated and tailor made to individual requirements. One size fits all will never work. But while they’re still figuring it out everyone should just quit. Most of the kids aren’t going to learn anything anyway. Those few who do can do their own reading, as indeed they always have. Mass education is really nothing but babysitting.

    I am coming up on my first year as an instructional designer (higher ed.). Leading up to this transition, I had been thinking about leaving teaching for several years and talking to my friends about it over that time, but I wasn't sure what was the most logical next step and there was certainly a lot of fear of the unknown. Finally, a couple of my friends told me I need to make a decision about it and either stop talking about it or do it . . . They were right. As I reflect, your podcasts were very important as I started this journey in 2019-2020. I took the step to finally apply to grad. school to help fill in the gaps I saw in my own learning and skills. I also started looking for jobs and following advice you had in your podcasts. I transitioned out of the classroom and started my first ID job in Jan. 2022! Yes, I left a 23 year career in the middle of the year. I have no regrets about that decision. I love my job in ID and wish I had taken these steps earlier. Your podcasts were a driving force to help me stay focused and your materials were helpful as I developed my plan to move forward. Thanks for these resources.

    Wow. I had heart palpitations as well. This happened while I was a caregiver and teaching full time. It nearly killed me. I was given the silent treatment and harsh treatment for asking for FMLA. So me being the idiot , I did not take FMLA. I tried to be a great employee and my heart paid the price. My greatest regret was not being there for my father when he needed me. I ended up giving the best results on the state test In the whole school that year. And for what? No monetary bonus, no fancy dinner, not even a letter saying that I got the best results. Instead I got a ding on my evaluation because I think they were preparing to fire me. .. of course they kept me because I had the best results that year. What a joke this profession is .

    Teachers get fed up when they realize that as academic instructors they have been singled out by society to babysit all of the crazy and stupid kids who not only are uneducable but make it impossible to teach the smart well adjusted kids as well. You would think that the uneducable kids would be sent somewhere else to get babysat but unfortunately society has chosen to make teachers watch them even though they are really unteachable. So increasingly, the only solution is to quit your ultra crappy teaching job. It really can’t be described more succinctly. Once I quit teaching I tried a variety of jobs which I found appealing for whatever reason but the most important thing was to waste no more time or energy on teaching. None of the other things I did, such as merchant seafaring or barbering were really dream jobs, but neither did I feel as if I were being conned into doing something other than I’d been hired to do. To me the important thing is to stop being a sucker and to just quit your bogus teaching job. You will survive somehow. Until you don’t, and then it won’t matter anyway.
