Hello beauties! I'm a lover of fantasy and magic and wish I could spend my life with my nose buried in a book. I mainly read YA, NA or Adult Fantasy (honestly I'm not picky which) and I'm not mad if it comes with a little spice. At the end of the day, I love a good storyline and a well built world, and I'm willing to try any kind of book. My aim for a while is to try and broaden my horizons with new books, new genres and new friends! Don't be shy, say hi!

The planet/world from CC is called Midgard ☺️
I LOOOOOVE how wild some of your theories are!! Some are similar to mine... Nyx's mate!!! That killed me 🤣!! I am pro Tamlin BUT I am a die hard Elain and Lucien girlie!! 😍
I stumbled upon this video because I love creating costumes for special events, and I am soooo impressed with your upcycling skills!!! That's my go-to because I don't have sewing skills beyond hand-stitching. Upcycling is the way to go! And yours was brilliant! I'm in my 60's so sadly I don't have Instas or RUclips videos of the many outfits I've created, but I love your work and look forward to seeing the next dress!! New Subscriber here! ❤ (LOL, my mantra is "safety pins are my friend" when it comes to alterations!)
Beautiful! Would love to see how you make the next dress!
So awesome to find your tribe, good on you for getting yourself out there!
subscribed!! do more crazy theories please
Hehe I will!! I loved making this video!! ACOTAR theories or any other particular theories?? I'm hoping to do one for CC once I've finished the most recent one
i want more of the ACOTAR ones since the next book is gonna be an ACOTAR book but im gonna watch anyhting u upload anyways <3 @@EllaBowins
That's so kind of you! I may or may not have filmed something that will be coming out in a couple weeks that you'll love!
@@EllaBowins ill be waiting but please remind me to come back!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
i loooove how chaotic these theories areee!!!!!!!
I am a little chaotic 🤣
Apparently it takes place 6 months after the events of silver flames when bryce falls in prythian, so nix will still be a baby
There goes that theory 🤣 but that's good to know!!
I think the CC world will be tied into the ACOTAR world through the Dusk Court. With the "Dusk's Truth" hit from Danika, that's what I think it is tying into.
Yeah I completely agree with you! I wonder if it's linked to all the talk of high kings and queens too!! Seems too coincidental
recently finished acotar series ig now i have to read tog and cc 😭 my poor bank account
Hahahaha I felt that too!! Kindle have an 8-in-1 version of ToG and it made me so happy!
your voice is so satisfying to listen to! do you write reviews on goodreads?
Thank you! I don't, I keep thinking about getting on to Goodreads though. Is it worth it??
I wish I could read early in the morning, but I tend to nod off. lol. But I turned it to my advantage by reading just before sleeping, when I nod off that’s okay then. No, I don’t have a problem with multiple formats. However, I don’t read the same book on different devices. What helped me to read more is just to stop wanting to read more. Letting go also helped me in the past to get better at learning new skills.
Aha that's fair enough! I'm the opposite it fully wakes me up! I like that tip of just letting go though!
Keep posting, always enjoy your content:)
Thank you very much
Hi Ella! I'm discovering the channel a little late, but my gut told me to go to this video first. Always love it when new booktubers come on the scene, this is such a great community!! I have been reading Booker Prize winner 2023 Prophet Song by Paul Lynch (dystopian fiction), alongside Children of Dune (sci-fi) by Frank Herbert. I hope you keep uploading and never give up o this practice (for lack of a better term) of sharing your bookish responses and ideas on this tiny corner of the internet, and I hope you get to grow with time! ✌️
Thanks so much for such a fabulous and sweet message ❤️ I hope you're enjoying!! Ooh what is prophet song like?! Have you got any content you'd like to see in the future??
My wife organized her books by author and/or topic. Enjoy! 🤘😎🤘
Love that!! Such an organised way to do it 😍
Loved your newbie tag! Dropped a sub and looking forward to following your content🙂
Thanks so much!! Hope you keep enjoying the content!! What sort of content would you like to see?!
the dogggg
Lily is my absolute baby 🤣 and she knows it
I like physical books a whole lot. But I may need to get a Kindle since it's more practical now because of my current circumstances.
I definitely relate to that!! There's only so many places to store books too!! On the plus side you can take so many books everywhere with kindle!
@@EllaBowins Yeah, I've found reading on something digital, like a phone or tablet, much more practical on flights. But it strains my eyes.
Real books are great 99% of the time. I can also trade real books for ammunition and food if we do start WW3. The Kindle app is great for night reading when I don't want to wake up my wife.
Love this! I love my backlit kindle for that too, and it's much easier to curl up in bed with than a hefty book!
Looking forward to some good book recommendations❤
I always recommend from blood and ash! Which is a fantasy! What genres do you normally read??
Welcome BookTuber ❤
Thank you so much 🙏🏻
Thanks for reminding me that I have a kindle - haven’t used since I stopped commuting . I should use that when I fly somewhere as it’s easier than taking a physical book along.
Yeah I think it just makes life so much easier when traveling anywhere! Especially with the size of books I like to read 🤣
No idea what the writing style is - but had the EXACT same experience of being put off a book cos of the writing style. It was the Scholomance series and it feels like the author was making it up as she went along and then keeps finding plot holes in her own story so overexplains why it’s not a plot hole. 😂 Also red queen series is a lot better than the selection. While romance is involved it’s not the only central storyline. I think the first one is just Mares POV but as the books go on you get more and more perspectives and the politics becomes more central. Also mare is way less annoying than America. The serpent one sounds good! I’ll put a pin in it for when I go through my next fiction phase. …currently binging my way through everything Brian Cox has ever written 😂
Haha I always got a little irritated with America's whining 🤣 yes definitely read serpent and dove!! It's such a good one!!
Life tends to get in the way and that's fine :) Serpent & Dove sounds interesting...is it fantasy or more a romantasy, would you say?
Hmm I think it sits quite on the fence. The relationship is a heavy plot line but there's a lot going on around it. I'd probably but it a little more romantasy than just fantasy
‘Obviously we all know the story of Hades..’ *avoids eye contact while googling* 🙄 🤔
I hope you like finding out about one of my favourite myths 💖
You are beautiful💕 And i love these books
Thank you so much!
Hi Ella & welcome to BookTube. No worries on lighting and other details...as long as you publish, it's fine :) My favorite book is that impossible question; I simply can't pick just one. Babel by R.F. Kuang is certainly up there amongst the favorites, because it is such a great combination of great characters, an emotional read and a great ciritque of (modern) colonialism, with a Dark Academia/fantasy flair to 📚it.
Thanks for the warm thanks and wise words! Haha I have to admit I hate when people ask me to only pick one! I've heard a lot about Babel! Maybe it's time to give it a go!!
@@EllaBowins Do give it a chance, I absolutely loved it!
I am reading "Demon Copperhead" by Barbara Kingsolver. I am liking it so far. Thanks for the read-with-me video. Love the nature sounds! Happy reading! 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it! I hope you finished and enjoyed your book!! Looking to film another read with me with classical music instead of nature sounds soon!
@@EllaBowins I am still reading "Demon Copperhead." I am budding reading it with a friend and we read it in increments. If for some reason, we cannot get together for a week, we delay reading until next time. (Unconventional buddy reading, I know.) I will look out for more of your read-with-me videos. Thanks again. 🙂
That's such a great way to read! I love a good buddy read!
I've read Serpent & Dove, and I was actually shocked by how much I liked it! I haven't continued the rest of the series yet though. I also like to know the least amount possible before reading a book! I like to be shocked by everything!
Me too!! Often I find waaay too many spoilers in blurbs and summaries! I want to experience this 100% for the first time as I'm reading!! I LOVED Serpent and dove! Absolutely shocked how much I enjoyed it
@@EllaBowins Yes exactly!
awww that dog!!!! More dog cameos please!!! You hauled great books!! Atlas six was not my cup pf tea, unfortunately but I hope you will like it 🤗
hehe I promise the dogs won't be going anywhere! My opinion of Atlas Six comes out next week... x
Bliss 🤗
It really was 😂
Hi Ella, welcome to booktube!!!
Thank you lovely!
📚 Welcome to booktube! Subscribed and looking forward to seeing more of your videos. =)
Thanks so much!! Look out for a new video soon 📚
Hi and welcome to booktube. Absolutely love your vibe and the doggo is a deal breaker. Anyone getting a rescue is a great person in my book. For dyslexia you could try listening too audiobooks reading alongside your physical books. It helps me with English and to get the gist and not to skip read as much.
Hehe thanks!! I'm sure you'll see a lot more of them over my videos 😂 I really struggle with audio books as I zone out and then have no idea where I was 😂 but maybe it's time to give it another go!
Welcome to booktube!
Thank you 😊🙏📚
Hello and welcome to Booktube! It's definitely an awesome community of bookworms. I subscribed. I have two favorite books... The Time Machine by H. G. Wells and Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse. Sci-fi and spirituality. They are the two books that come the closest to accurately describing my personality. :) 📖
Thanks so much 🙏 oooh what genre are they?!
Oooo the verse one looks really cool! My goal for June is 2 books 😂 that’s what I seem to have managed for may . Maybe once stitch can behave I can sit in the park with him and read more . Oooh I used to read on my commute - literally was how I taught myself Swedish was on my commute. Also totallly thought the Ruby red was the selection series and was like ‘did they change the title ? Can they do that?’ 😂 Oh I read the red queen series a few years ago - the last one wasn’t out yet though and still haven’t read it. They’re good although war storm dragged on 😂 perhaps why I haven’t rushed to pick up broken throne. I liked them but there are definitely a lot of tropes and I got annoyed that Mare has grey hair - I feel it was just a point to make her different from other main characters but made her harder for me to imagine. Sounds so pedantic but there are a lot of references to it for some weird reason 😂
Authors change their covers so often it is always a possibility!! Thinking of doing a video about all that!!
Great cover midwinter. I can understand the temptation of buying books for their cover design. I think if I were to read a book written in verse it will take a long time for me to finish it, becauseafter I read a couple pages I have to put it down to let it sink in.
I completely agree with all points there!!
Hello and welcome to the booktube community! It's great to meet you. - MJ
Hey thanks so much!! Lovely to meet you too
I’m currently reading ‘a man for all markets’ the autobiography of Edward O. Thorp. I thought this book would be very boring because of the boring cover and a bit boring subject. Thorp was a mathematician and beat the casino on blackjack and was a hedgefund manager. So this book shouted BORING to me lol. But it was highly recommended by a RUclipsr I follow so I gave it a try and it is very well written. It’s entertaining and Thorp had an interesting life. With a lot of blowing things up as a child and two attempts on his life. It’s not the best autobiography I’ve read but it’s definitely enjoyable reading.
Hmm maybe I should give it a go at some point!
I prefer to read stand-alone books. Because I find series a bit daunting. I like books that have female empowerment in them. You explain it very well. Editing is good as well. As well as presentation.
That's totally fair enough! I used to be a bit like that, but I get so sad when a story ends so I've ended up preferring the super long series so it never has to end 🤣 Thank you so much for the compliments on my editing ❤️
Welcome to booktube. Great to see that you don’t let your dyslexia keep you from reading books. It must be a challenge. It’s difficult to mention a favourite book because there are many. I just discovered the detective books by Richard Osman which I just love, although I had to get used to the writing style a bit. Favourite autobiography is Shakespeare and Company by Sylvia Beach (it’s about her bookstore in Paris). Favourite biography is Katharine Hepburn by Christopher Andersen. I read a lot of other non-fiction as well, but can’t mention one favourite for now. Just subscribed. (I don't know how to add emojies to my comment lol sorry. but it was interesting)
Ooh!! I'll have to add them to my list!! I really don't read enough non fiction!!
Thank you for the subscribe xx
Welcome to the booktube community!! 💗
Thanks 😍
Welcome to Booktube! So far the community has been nice for me. I also started because I don’t have other friends who read as much as I do 😂 Also dyslexic as well 😬
Omg so glad I'm not alone there 😂 what you reading at the moment?
@@EllaBowins trying to do Demon Copperhead but really thinking I might skip to book 2 of the expanse. Not sure how I feel about demon copperhead so far

Fav book is Screen Brain by Anders Hansen, Baking with Pi by Eugenia Cheng and Ego is the enemy by Ryan Holiday. Each individually helped me understand nysekf and my actions a bit better. As for fiction, ngl my guilty pleasure is anything by Jenny Han 😂 who doesn’t love a tropey YA romance?
Omg not actually read any of them so I'll have to look them all up!
Girrrlll I read!! Whatcha reading? Ok patience Lauren , she will tell u
Yaaass!! I'm reading a shadow in the ember by Jennifer armentrout! What about you??
