Okay so cool story… I’m actually in the clarinet section for this group in 2016-2017 and we had to pass every single section of this song off because this was one of the pieces for UIL that year. So my little nerdy 7th grade self would show up early for school and stay a little after school to work with the directors to make sure that I didn’t get cut from this song or demoted to the “Symphonic band” or our Non-Varsity group. This is actually after UIL and we sped up the tempo by a good 10-15 clicks for this recording just to show of the ridiculousness of this group. I had a lot of fun performing and rehearsing with this group that year and some of the kids in this band went on to become Music Majors themselves. Also, reading the comments back on this video over 7 years after the fact is super cool!

Played this after Covid year. Could've been way better lol. But I played Vibraphone,Xylophone,bells,claves combo lol. Probably the most fun piece from middle school.

this song sounds cool, but it’s sad that people couldn’t play it due to COVID. I played danzon no.2 for my 7th grade year and it sounded good but COVID cancelled the UIL performance

Fun fact: Ed Kiefer was the the former director at the band I’m in now. He still comes by and visits during band camp and marching season.
