To drink of the cup is to die the death that is the blood baptism. Fire and Holy Spirit... not dipping people in water and meaningless rituals of the flesh/corrupt dust....

Jeshua was Hebraic. He had a relationship with the Father. He had zero relationship with the Holy Spirit. He controls Holy Spirit. As does the Father. The Holy Spirit is God, but not a third "person". God is Holy Spirit, breath, pneuma, and Messiah, the Father, are one. John 10:30. Jesus told the woman in John 4 this, God is Spirit. Supernatural. The Rome church was pagan, lawless, prior to Jeshuas birth. The Rome church teaches the opposite of both canons. And, the half truths of Catholicism appeal to the masses and ministers still in their pride, etc. The Apostles, not Catholics, wrote the New Testament. Rome teaches salvation via faith. James taught faith plus works of righteousness. James 2. Even demons have faith. Jesus taught Holy Spirit must be imparted for salvation. Rome nor Protestants teach this. The sacraments do not save, only Holy Spirit does. Priests do not save, Book of Hebrews. Only Jesus who is good, perfect, saves. Johns Gospel chapter 5. The soul is mortal, not immortal. Mary worship is evil. She's dead. Saint worship is evil. Angel worship is evil. Catholics do such. God has allowed Rome to deceive the world, the rich, super rich, but Times days are numbered. Both canons prove this. Those who love God, keep his teachings, imperfectly but with purpose, will be saved.

The Catholics were a priestly pagan syncretic religion before the Israeli Messiah was born. Post Gods true servant Paul's trip to Rome the pagan church adopted a false view of the only God, deceived billions hence. Jeshua was not understood by his parents. Mary and Joseph, and his family rejected him his entire life. Mary was not the pagan Queen of Heaven the prophets condemn. Mary, the false one, is still worshipped by Rome and it's offshoots. Idolatry, demonic. Mary died, awaits a resurrection, is not in heaven, for the firstborn, and only he, is in heaven, the 3rd heaven. Jesus Messiah is in heaven with the Father, the Word, the Almighty. Only the angels are on the same plane, righteous, in heaven. The Father, Son, are Holy Spirit, pneuma. The Holy Spirit is not a third "person". The Godhead, monotheism, is a two person Deity, not three. Jesus said "Only the Father knows the Son and only the Son knows the Father...." Scores of New Testament verses support that truth. And the Catholics did not write the New Testament.

Mary is the first disciple of Christ. She accepted God’s will without blinking. She was at the major events of Jesus’s life from his birth, his dedication, his teaching in the temple, the wedding at Cana, his crucifixion, and the upper room at Pentecost. Jesus gives her to John at the foot of the cross. She always points us back to Christ. Co-redemptrix is not an official Catholic teaching. But she certainly cooperated with God and his plan of salvation. Her apparitions are considered private revelation and are not required belief for Catholics, and there is no requirement to say the rosary. Like the saints, the sacraments, the liturgy, and all other Catholic practices, she simply points us back to Jesus. Jesus is the only person in history to choose his own mother…and he chose Mary…she must have been quite special. Protestants really need to stop being so paranoid that somehow she and the Saints distract from Jesus - No, they all point us to Jesus and show us how to be his faithful disciples.

Is he really comparing the powerful women of our time to Mary the mother of Jesus? As though she sought power and glory for herself? Poor man, he needs her intercession when he meets Jesus face to face.

This poor, spiritually impovershed man, deceived, and deceiving others.

There are three other Christian groups that also believe in Apostolic succession. They are the orthodox christians, the non-chalcedonian christians, and the Assyrian christians. None of them base their Doctrine on petrine authority.

Correct. The Jews of Messiah's day used the phrase "Unleavened Bread" as a general term, all 8 days. Then they would use "Passover ' in a general sense for all 8 days. The gospel writers, at times, did that. But the key is Jeshua gave his life voluntarily on the 14th Passover. So our understanding was, is correct.

Critical for COGs to realize this; look at Romans 3; also HWA quoted John's gospel chapters 6, 7,8, 9,10 and Messiah shows there that believing the Son---with repentance---justifies. We have broken spiritual and moral law, Romans 7, etc. But the fruit of Holy Spirit and the evils God's Spirit condemns (Galatians 5:19-20; Mark 7:18-20) are elevated above just the decalogue alone; John :63. The Spirit imparts life; life does not come from law, even Holy Law: Romans 7:12, 14, etc. Without enough love/compassion in the church (John 5:42, gospel) all law is nullified in the mind of the person not caring enough/loving enough, not perfect but enough, and all the sabbath keeping, or this keeping or that keeping will not justify that person. Also, the decalogue is not a list of 10 identical laws; some are weighter than others; it takes time, God's Spirit, to see this. Murder is more evil than stealing, more destructive, etc. Good points by Jim.

I've had several Scofield reference bibles, & never but GLANCED @ w/ever notes might be available. The same hold true for a *MUCH* more thorough reference bible, the Thompson Chain Reference Bible. I think the notes/etc in THAT bible are about as many pages as the NT actually :) But either way, the *PRE-TRIBULATION* rapture of the church is _SOLIDLY_ grounded in the closed canon.

Rapture is real: Paul writes i will show you a mystery if jesus already told us about the 2nd coming why paul is telling its a mystery! You see he is talking about rapture! Jesus 2nd coming after tribulation every man will see and mourn at his coming which is not happening with in twinkling of an eye... the rapture happens with in twinkling of an eye... be ready believe in jesus! 1Cor 15:51-52 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Thank you for this sermon. I was taught a pre-trib rapture, and I have read God's word from cover to cover more than once, and each time I read the New Testament I question what I was taught about a pre-trib rapture. It doesn't match up with what Jesus tells his disciples and what Paul preaches. Paul tells us in Phil. 1:23 that his "desire is to depart and be with Christ...". When the saved die, our spiritual body goes to be with Christ. And when Paul talks about the first resurrection, he and Jesus both refer to the first resurrection as us being raised with Christ to new life (a spirtual resurrection). (John 3:1-15 and Romans 6:1-4) The second resurrection is a bodily resurrection. Now after knowing what I know now, 1 Thess. 4 and 5 makes so much more sense. When our King returns we will be "caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord." verse 17

How about the Greek word behind "Meet." Don't take his theory as the truth. Notice how this word is used in these verses. Mat 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet G529 the bridegroom. Mat 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet G529 him. In these two verses where does the Groom go after meeting His bride? He goes back to HIS HOUSE. Act 28:15 And from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet G529 us as far as Appii forum, and The three taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage In this verse they came to meet Paul and travel with him wherever he was going. Therefore this verse COULD mean to go to meet and come back with...or it could mean just to go and meet.

"There is no evidence?" What did Paul write first in his classic rapture passage in 1 Thes. 4 & 5? Did he write the Day of the Lord and God's wrath first, or did he write of the rapture first? The answer is, he wrote of the rapture, then just 3 verses later wrote of the Day of the Lord. Is this order confirmed elsewhere? Yes. If we find where the Day of the Lord is in Revelation, it will begin at the 6th seal in chapter 6. According to Paul then, the rapture would come just before the 6th seal. Does John confirm that it does? Yes, in chapter 7 John wrote how he was this huge crowd, too large to number, in the throne room of heaven. Make no mistake here, this large crowd is certainly the raptured church. Take careful note, John wrote of them in chapter 7, while the tribulation or 70th week ends in chapter 16, and Jesus' coming to Armageddon in chapter 19. There is yet another confirmation: the 5th seal. It is for the martyrs of the church age. Stephen was certainly among them. They cry out to God wanting to know how long they will wait before God judges their murders. They are told that judgment will not come until the FINAL martyr is killed as they were killed, as church age martyrs. The rapture will end the church age and cause a certain martyr to be that last martyr. Many people "jump the gun" so to speak in Revelation and some so much they imagine days of great tribulation in the seals! They are 2000 years off. In chapter 5, John saw Jesus suddenly enter the throne room, (right after He ascended the first time) send down the Holy Spirit, then go and get the book and began opening seals. WHEN? Around 32 AD or so. Many people imagine the first seal is the antichrist, when that seal was opened as soon as Jesus ascended. The first seal is to represent the church sent out with the gospel. Seals 2, 3, and 4 represent the devil's atttempts to stop the advance of the gospel. God limited their theater of operation to only one fourth of the earth-probably Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Seal 5 then is for the martyrs of the church age. The church has been waiting there since the beginning. Seal 6 begins the Day of the Lord and God's wrath so the rapture MUST and certainly will, come before the 6th seal start of God's wrath.

I don't know why Nineveh was so wicked it was the main capital of the Assyrian empire. Nineveh had hanging gardens of Sennacherib. The great library of Esarhaddon. It was a melting pot of culture going back to the days of Sumer and Akkad. It had poetry, music, culture. I still don't get it at the end Jonah listens to Yahweh, and went to preach in Nineveh. His preaching still didn't stop Sennacherib invading Juda, destroying Lachish, and attacking Jerusalem, where Hezekiah was king.

Thanks again Dr. Levy. A Plain Truth magazine was on a community bulletin board in a local supermarket in NY. In 1982 I came across this magazine when I was going food shopping. Something on the cover was so interesting that I left off my shopping and used my car keys to pry the magazine off the board. That issue warmed my heart as it quoted Scriptures with accuracy and right understanding. Soon I watched Mr. Armstrong on tv and fell in love with WCG. It wasn't until after HWA died that I was baptised in WCG. In hindsight, I regret the time lag but I can't change my past. Prophecy is a wonderful topic. Happy Sabbath!!!
