I had never even heard of the early 70s crime thriller til author & TV host Eddie Muller (considered the "Czar of Noir") mentioned it in the most recent episode of his online series "Ask Eddie"(from the Film Noir Foundation). What a cast ! And cool to see those early 70s Los Angeles locations. A French hit man in LA....love the premise !

I was just thinking about how the only part of Twin Peaks that really becomes a chore to watch is the second season, where at certain points over 75% percent of the content is at best barely relevant and at worst farcically awful (*cough*confederacy*cough*). Looks like you homed in on what was needed, which was to isolate and extract the intriguing world-building parts of the second season.
