Jinnah gave idea of secular and islamic Pakistan. Jinnah was both patriotic(initially) and a traitor to his - the then motherland Jinnah acted in different ways in front of different people. As far as my understanding of English goes, he may be everything but definitely not a man of integrity. I don't understand what your translation of integrity means! He was a lawyer who won his case cause the British assisted him. He was no visionary, and apart from that he was nothing else. I don't understand why do people celebrate him as freedom fighter! If i rank all the freedom fighters in their willingness to sacrifice and their actually sacrifice, jinnah and all the supporters of Pakistan stood at the very last. Those who supported creation of Pakistan, they didn't fight the British, they were busy fighting the Indian freedom fighters and insuring the British to believe that they are their friends. As a result u got your elite as they are today, the people who u celebrate as your freedom fighters were no different from your elite.

Destruction of Nalanda, Bodh Gaya, all the bihars in north India, destruction of all the temples and everything and you are here talking about Islamophobia, bro you need medical check-up. What about recent case of bamiyan buddha and other things. The main thing is muslims can never co-exist with any other religion, at all. I am very much fascinated about how muslim religion itself survived this year, as it is the most illetrate and copied religion of entire human history. Even though you are a muslim, have you ever heard the vedanta philosophies of hinduism, I bet that will make you follow your ancestors religion that is hinduism.

Jinnah was a two bit politician who got completely eclipsed in congress by the tornado that was Gandhi when he came back from. South Africa and to save his political future latched on to the lie that Muslims were a separate nation & that Hindus & muslims couldn't live together . Never mind that he was leaving behind a huge chunk of muslims amidst an (according to him) an unlivable conditions amidst a Hindu majority! During partition when minorities were being slaughtered Gandhi was in trenches fasting & calling for peace & calm while the whiskey guzzling, Pork eating Jinnah didn't lift a finger. The man was a hypocrite & contradictions were rife in his personal life! He married a Parsi girl but was opposed to his daughter marrying a Parsi man. While millions were suffering as a consequence of his actions, he was most worried about his house in Bombay & his Air India stocks - It is a slap in his face that his daughter & her progeny chose to live their life in India. There is a reason why he is not well known outside Pakistan! History judges leaders by their actions not by what their followers make them out to be!

Jinnah’s fight was…a fight not for the freedom of India…but for the freedom of the Muslims from the tyrannical yoke of the Hindus as he himself said that Congress is a fascist council under Gandhi , as he put it. No doubt Jinnah won the fight; the cult of violence decided the issue India. To what extent Gandhi’s cult of non-violence may claim credit for the freedom of India is a matter of opinion. But there is no doubt that the creation of Pakistan was the triumph of violence in its naked and most brutal form and of the leadership of Jinnah. No doubt Azad was visionary. Many pan islamists Devbandi ulema & maulawi had smartly got platform under congress. Those minority among the Muslims who rejected Partition (were ineffective among Indian muslims) because they wanted to grab the whole of India, not just a part of it. They were not influenced by the nationalist idea that the world should be divided into sovereign territorial units corresponding to nations. Muhammad Allama Iqbal, the spiritual father of Pakistan, said: "Democracy is a system in which heads are counted but not weighed." So, as in the Middle Ages, Muslims should simply emulate Mohammed and grab power by any means possible. Later, the Muslim establishment could always ensure that Muslims become the majority. Since Gandhi and Nehru were always called nationalists, Muslims who wanted to keep open their option of all-India conquest, were not impressed by the modern fashion of democracy. Those who joined them against Partition for the sake of independence were also called nationalists, though in reality their (Azad & Ali brothers brigade we can discuss it in detail too) hope was the reunification of Muslims in a new Caliphate where they could dominate the non-believers. Keep in mind that both sides had the same goal: the conquest of the Islamic world. Those wrongly called "nationalist Muslims" went straight for it, mainly because the modern world was unfamiliar to them, while the separatists made temporary concessions to the new conditions and wanted to consolidate Muslim power in Pakistan first. Initially they were even willing to agree to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's proposal for an exchange of populations so that no Muslims would remain in the rest of India. They could not believe their luck when Gandhi and Nehru tied India's hands in this matter, so that while Pakistani Hindus had to flee, Indian Muslims could stay back.
