Impressive I really enjoy watching your videos
Thanks for watching!
Was there radium in the dial, hands? What precautions do you take for radium? Nice work and nice watch.
@@Robert32064 thanks for asking, my Geiger counter did not respond to any
Nice to see a breguet overcoil. Looks like a quality old bit of kit.
It does!

I’ve been wanting to get one of these as well. Nice watch! It looks very durable.
They were definitely built to last!
Superb that you are able to do this to such a special watch. A great story… thanks for sharing.

Hi
Hello
Great video. Entertaining and relaxing. Thank you.
@@mrrichard19801 Thank you for the kind words.
I've never seen one of these in such great condition, especially that dial.
Thank you, it's truly amazing how it survived in such good condition!
Reminds me of one of those olf 70s alarm clocks with the rotating numbers.
It does
❤❤❤
Thank you!
I like the name of your channel
AWSOME job!! I did notice when you were doing the keyless the kif for the bottom balance jewel was not in all the way
Thanks for the catch, I missed that! I'll go back and make sure it's properly seated.
15:10 The performance of that movement is amazing, considering that the balance wobbles like a sailor on liberty.
Thank you for your reply, you’re so right, I was amazed that I could regulate the balance so well.
I wonder how they were assembled in the factory? Being so cheap they must’ve had a quick trick to get them done fast.
thank you for your comment, I have wondered how they produced them also.
Hamilton made watches for the Military too .
Yes they did
How can I reach you?
is this Dave from Victoria Hills ? if so I saved your card and I can call you
Lovely!
Thank you for the kind word !
nice one, thanks mate.
Appreciate the kind words.
You earned a new subscriber... that watch is a grail watch for me... love it...
Thank you for the kind words, glad you enjoyed the video.
I wonder how hard it would be to replace the whole movement with something better.
If it would fit it could work.
Beautiful timepiece with a great history. Your skills have helped preserve it for the next generation
Thank you for the kind words!
Very nice video, keep it up! Curious, what watch are you wearing in the video?
Thank you for the kind words ! the watch I had on that day was my vintage Omega Seamaster DeVille ca, 1965 with the 565 movement It's one of my favorite I restored it four or five years ago.
@ that’s a lovely watch. I’ve been wanting to buy a same era Omega Constellation for so long. Keep it up
The constellation with a pie pan dial is on my wish list also.
It takes a lot of skill and patience to service a watch that was absolutely never meant to be serviced
Thank you for the kind words.
😅😅😅
I have my grandfathers' 1946(?) Hamilton "Wesley". This is not the same watch, but it's close enough that I can appreciate the craftsmanship. Nice video.
thank you for the kind words.
8th I'm
Thoroughly enjoyed that ..... and only 9 seconds fast per day ... huh .... head scratching time?
thank you for the kind words.
Just came across your video. I got the same watch. Timex with the Mickey Mouse dial. Bought it on ebay. Was all rusty but i managed to fix it. Actually bought a whole lot of old timex watches to tinker with. They are cheap and you can practice your patience and skills. Lol. . Took apart like 10 of them, cleaned and reassembled them. It gets easier with practice. You got a new fan. Gonna check out your other videos too.
thank you for the kind words, your store sounds like mine at the start, you have to love this hobby to understand it.
Facinating! I wish they would make a reasonably priced watch today that would run that accurately. But they don’t, except by chance. I wonder; how much money did the average watch maker earn in the nineteen-thirties?
Thank you for your kind words, not sure how well they were paid.
A beautiful watch with a great story, and a wonderful restoration video. Subscribed. Cheers 🍻!
Thank you for the kind words !
Very nice video...and so helpful for those of us just starting this hobby as well. Thank you for taking the time to make this. :) p.s. I'd love to see more detail of how you disassembled the balance/hairspring in order to oil the jewels....that step of a service is quite intimidating to a beginner like myself.
Thanks for watching, I’ll try and include that in a coming video!
I have just binge-watched all of your videos (in reverse order) and love them all. Thank you for sharing them on RUclips: 👌👍👏!
Appreciate you watching them all!
Great job on a very cool watch: 👌👍👏!
Appreciate the kind words 👍
Thank you for sharing this beautiful video of a great watch on RUclips:👌👍👏!
Thank you for the kind words.
If it is any comfort, there is at least another video on RUclips, where the problem of getting all the pinions into their holes also takes hours ... great work, though: 👌👍👏! You may soon come across mechanical automatic watches that have only one screw: the Blancpain X Swatch "Fifty Fathoms". Good luck fixing those - 🤪.
Thank you, yes I saw that video and we both had the same problem!
🤠👌👍
thank you Ed
Beautiful video! You are going to give Marshall a run for his money. I just subscribed!
Thanks for subscribing and the kind words!
One wonder how the assembled these things quickly at the factory.
Thank you for your comment,They must of had some kind of special tooling
Great video I have a couple a Micky and a Goffy watch both of them have quartz movement in them.
Thank you for watching, hope your Mickey watches are running well.
Amazing video 👏

Wow, I have the same watch, also broken
Thank you for the comment, hope you can fix yours.
Would you consider cleaning with the train bridge left on?
@@WMIYC thank you for your comment. If I ever do another one it’s a good idea.
