What typically happens when trade details were found to be incorrect? How is the accounting treatment? Do they book it suspense account? Also, these days most banks have EOD reports that check these details due to the sheer volume. So, are there personnel from MO that still do these tasks manually?

I have a question here - You spoke about a check 'are all trade details correct' and MO checks fields such as if the trade was placed outside trade hours then it will ideally not get executed. Would there not be a separate report for such trades? If yes, then, can you please share an example?

This is helpful, but, I'd appreciate if the sections were detailed. You could also elaborate with examples for each of the steps. For example: How is trade matching done and what happens when the trade does not match. In case of settlement failure that is Failure to Deliver and Failure to Receive, how and why it happens. How are settlements cycle in India different from the US settlement cycle.
