I’m seriously not saying this to troll you or to be smart, but I would be curious to know if you read the whole Bible to make that assertion. Also if you had read the whole Bible and understood the Bible in proper context you would not think that. Again this statement is made in all humility from someone who studies and loves the Bible. @@loria.5650 i have read it. Why do you guys always assume someone who questions or criticizes the things within the Bible and/or the beliefs you’ve built from it, hasn’t read the bible? Sorry, but there is zero context in which the bible is in-line with reality. In fact, you would have to create an personal external narrative, blasphemy basically, to even begin to try and reconcile how inaccurate the Bible is when describing reality, morality or philosophy.

I asked you if you had read the whole Bible to not assume but to let you clarify whether you had. Many people I talk to have not read the whole Bible. However just because you have an opinion about the Bible does not make you right. Thousands of scholars with doctorates who study history, doctrine and many other sciences would respectfully disagree with you with proof. Anyway I have no problem with your criticism and I respectfully disagree with your assertion. Anyway you and I will leave these comments and continue to live our lives with the beliefs we hold. @@loria.5650 😂being a scholar of a single book doesnt mean jack shyte. The only people who pretend the bible is consistent with reality are those who worship the god of it. I guarantee you the VAST majority of historians and scientist agree that the bible is completely in consistent. For example, the adam and eve story never happened, snakes cant talk, the flood never happened, the tower of babel never existed, moses never existed, their never was any jewish slaves en mass in egypt, Tir still exist, no one knows who wrote the first four books of the NT, bats arent birds, the mustard seed isnt the smallest seed (even at the time the passage was written, rabbits dont chew their own cud, christ never existed, etc. As for being a a better person, anyone can be because of any belief. Doesnt make that belief correct, even remotely.

I read your original question and watched the video. Once you restated your question it made sense as to the answer you were looking for. I like what you said about man needing to learn humility towards God but I thought about why man couldn’t just be in heaven. The angels were created to be servants to a holy and righteous God who were sinless and lived in heaven, they knew everything and chose to rebel. God who is LOVE who is perfect and never did any wrong, they chose to rebel against. Isaiah 14:12-15 says, “”You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’“ ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭14‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭ Lucifer aka Satan wanted to overthrow God and convinced a third of the angels to rebel with him. Heaven was never created for man. Heaven is God’s domain. Earth was perfect before Adam sinned and earth was created for man. Psalm 115:16 says, “The heaven of heaven is the Lord’s: but he has given the earth to the children of men.” Genesis tells us that he gave dominion to Adam and Adam named all of the animals. It goes on to say the the Lord walked in the garden with Adam in the cool of the evening. They had a relationship. They had a friendship as well Adam being his creation, his son. What God required was his obedience just like we require our children to obey. It’s for their good. It was for Adam’s good. Now you talk about suffering. No one would have had to suffer if Adam had not sinned and brought sin into the earth but like you said that proved Adam was not ready because like the angels he chose to rebel. However he didn’t know everything the angels knew. They rebelled after having known everything. The Bible says man was created a little lower than the angels. Hebrews 2:7-9. “You made them a little lower than the angels, you crowned them with glory and honor and put everything under their feet.” So all sin that comes into God’s presence must be judged. No sin can come in his presence so because he loved Adam he chose to let his son, Jesus suffer his wrath and judgement in Adam’s place. You said yourself that God is just. He wouldn’t be just if he didn’t judge sin. So his righteous nature requires sin be judged and punished. Now suffering is actually needed. Suffering draws us to God. When men are completely blessed and everything is great they don’t think they need God. However think about how many people turn to God when they suffer. Here’s a great reference for that. Hebrews 5:8-10. “Even though Jesus was God’s Son, he learned obedience from things he suffered.” If Jesus learned through suffering we more so have need of suffering. When I spank my child’s hand for trying to touch something hot that suffering teaches them obedience. Man by sinful nature is selfish. Once man learns of God and chooses a relationship with God and begins to study God’s word and learn his nature, the Holy Spirit changes us to be more like God. However instead of rebelling against God e we rebel against sin and against our flesh because then we know we need God and we want him. We start to crave what is right instead of what is wrong and selfish. We create our own suffering to be honest. Sin brings about suffering. There is so much more to be said but I’ll leave it at that. Lastly my husband and I talked at length about your original question and your response to the video. Although he liked your answer he wondered if you had scripture references for what your answer was. We’ve really enjoyed this thread, your question, the video and then your answer. It provoked us to discuss and determine what we think according to scripture. Thank you so much.

@@AdventuresomeRN I do not believe angels could revolt or disobey God in anywhere or any form I truly believe angels are sinless and without free will they only could learn what God allows them to learn or to understand they do everything that God commands, them without question when the decree is made but they love to ask questions hoping they understand the answers just like us thinking that we know the divine

Because you had asked the pastor for biblical references and because you’re own original answer is close to what the Bible says I thought perhaps you were a believer in the Bible so my answer specifically gave you scriptures that tell us the angels did rebel. However your thoughts about angels I now understand are what you believe apart from the Bible. May I ask respectfully of course if you have any other source that gives you the ideas that you come to believe? I ask humbly of course with no disrespect to what you believe. I’m truly just curious.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. However Jesus was quoting Psalm 22:1 A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? At the time Jesus said that he had ALL the sins of the world cast upon him along with God’s judgement of that sin. Jesus was SINLESS which is why he was a perfect sacrifice to carry your sin, my sin, all of mankind’s sin so that God could forgive us who are not righteous. Jesus could only be the sacrifice because he was COMPLETELY righteous and sin free. Thank you for your thoughts. May you be deeply and richly blessed today.

What is truly good is that God made a way that ALL of us can be forgiven and live a right life because he empowers us to be changed when we accept the gift of his son who in turns makes us clean, whole and forgiven of sin.

if all my sins will be forgiven by accepting his son then what is the meaning of life and what is the purpose of mine?
