Part of my family's tradition for many decades But after my parents died, so did the tradition. Just celebrated tonight with my son Who was home first time in 2 yrs.

I don't know any Polish but enjoyed this! My grandmother came to the US (Cleveland, OH) in the early 1900s from around Warsaw. I still have some cousins there somewhere! Merry Christmas!! ❤

This tradition is done in our family with my daughter and son and their family every year and will be carried on until we leave this earth. more of this should be thought to these next generation families. God bless you all that still do this tradition!

Thank you for your video. I bought some Sałatka Jarzynowa in a UK supermarket last week, as I thought it looked interesting and so I wanted to try it. It is LOVELY! So I thought I would find a recipe (in this case, yours!), but I read elsewhere that the cucumbers/gherkins, have to be the correct type. Do you have a suggestion about what I can buy in a normal UK supermarket which will be a similar product to what you use? Dill cucumbers, pickled gherkins? Or is it not too important? Thanks.

I had a tour guide for Christmas Markets in Prague say the same thing about her family keeping a Carp in the bathtub for Christmas. My Bohemian Grandmother made poppyseed coffee cake that looks similar to yours and poppy seed Kolache.
