The problem is, the best price for selling is 10 jumps away from Jita. Kinda risky to ship a pile of them in and out of Jita.

If it's an Alpha Punisher, then it's quite good. Besides, new players can't outright go to higher levels due to lack of skills/ships/modules/knowledge etc. So.... I'd say it's worth until it's not.

Bought a passive shield Worm with my Alpha for T1 Exotics and am loving it. Fun to fly with an occasional adrenaline rush and consistently good payouts.

I think you should run the career agents just to get the free ships and isk. It’s also good to encourage new players to run these career agents, and read the rookie help channel to help with the really steep learning curve of this game. Showing how to rat in low sec is also a good idea - especially how to find quiet systems to not get insta podded as soon as you get into low sec

I started as a combat pilot about 6 days ago but I went omega with the free 7 days. Now I’m in a hurricane running level 3 missions it was not to bad but doing it as alpha it would drive me nuts lol

Nah you can net 500m in a good wormhole if you are lucky. Nearly a billion if you are super lucky.

Thanks for covering this subject. Gave me some other perspective as well. Used the air program expert system before which is similar to the one in NES. Think the main issue is that you get only level 3 with the system and not 5 which should give you the extra edge. Sadly I would have liked the usage of expedition frigates above barges. Covetor is best investment for fastest mining but it is all more circumstantial. If you live in a gas rich environment then a covetor will seriously cover the plex cost. Same goes for if you are in a corporation moonmining/icemining and have compression/buff retriever could be a very good investment. Totaly agree on gankability as you are an alpha and thus have way fewer protection due to skills. Especially if you use expensive faction mods. Still if you need huge amount of materials for building and want to do it in easier way this would be a fun way of mining.

I've played this game since 2012 and still have no idea what im doing.

Played that game since 2009. After CCP sold its gone downhill. I cant play it anymore with the Plex issues and age of the game. Really now that the tech has dropped Star Citizen will be the new EVE.... still have 2 years max before SC is on the eve killer level.

I would not bother scavenging if there are less than 10 wrecks really. With the time you lose scavenging there , docking/undocking the Harbie and so on you could take another mission.but definitely you need 2 tractor beams on Coercer, is not a very fast ship.

Well, Agree on that 'searching for wormholes' can be a lengthy process. Especially if you want to do gashuffing. Only activity I know - worthwhile doing - are the C5/6 gas sites. There are mostly way more anomalies in Low Sec for gas huffing. Alas, same luck applies as well. Mining in wormholes is still an option and mostly way quieter then doing in LS or NULL. It mostly depends on when North America is on. I always notice an increase in players and activities in this timeframe. So you have to take into account where you are situated in the world and what activity to do. Maybe you could explore the usage of the expert system. Strictly neither Alpha nor Omega but very feasible option for Alpha players (low plexing amount). Initial investment is high but return in the long run is there, for example using a retriever to do HS belt mining. Another option is to join a corporation which does joint missions in LS or NUL instead of doing solo runs. There are a lot of ways to make isk. Believe if your goal is to make 1B isk as an alpha (absolutely feasible, only initial investment and skill buildup takes a lot of time) you should do a lot more activities then only mining. But is always the easiest initial return for the most of us.

good venture build I use the same thing.... I'm near 98% wormhole exploration but mining is fun

I hate to break it to you, I got blown up undocking at Dodixie, I thought it was safe as I was pushed out and had not moved to align to a gate, I only had 10m in minerals, if you want good returns and don't mind risk, head to Amarr/Domain space and mine Kernite, it's risky but good returns, failing that try looking for a corp that offers mining boosts and support, those boost really help when mining for long periods.

I just found a Sunpak Nebula gas site in a quiet high sec system. Huffed the whole site yesterday afternoon. +180,000,000 ISK. All while AFK huffing and cooking supper. No rats too. Loving the smell of Amber Mycoserecin.

Hey, as a suggestion... Don't sit still while huffing... Keep orbiting the cloud at 500m... The rats will spawn a little far away and normally can warp out in time without being shot

you can also just pay 15 plex and get the expert system for the miners and be able to fly the mining barges as an alpha, thats only 60 plex a month compared to the 500 to plex into omega
