Don't suppose you replaced oil seals when you did this? According to the parts diagram, there's one that sits in the water pump housing and another under it I think?

The impeller has a keyhole shape, but nothing seems to fit in the slot part?

When fitting a new impeller the drive shaft and (on mine) the water transfer pipe are wiggled out of the leg. The water pipe comes out with a rubber grommet on the top end - the only way to get this back in its proper position is to undo the 6 bolts holding the leg to the motor base and drop the leg off - only then can you see where the ‘top of the tube’ grommet goes and ‘fiddle’ it in place You have to be careful of the gasket that is between the leg and motor base - or have a replacement to hand - hope this helps - I couldn’t find any videos covering this pipe

How do you drop the lower unit ? I need a new impeller ... Idk how to drop it. Your video is great.. woulda loved to have seen how it drops.

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in EU :-( In Germany the Green party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated peoples gas station per city. From 2027 on in the EU certain car parts will be banned as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California will do the same from 2027 on....
