Dodrio was always my 3rd favorite kanto pokémon, it was always my choice when I wanted a flyer and I would always name it ghidorah (Godzilla reference) and Tri attack on that thing always comes in clutch when I need it the most. Rest in peace, level 100 Dodrio that I deleted the save file that he was in

I think the held item thing is kinda flawed , marowak won the world championship with Ryota Ostubo entirely because of its held item the thick club doubling its attack, the difference is eviolite works on every unevolved pokemon and doesn’t necessarily make the pokemon its on good, when a pokemon’s entire success is tied to a held item and you don’t consider that, your not ranking that pokemon mon but parts of it.

I love doduo. Yellow was my first pokemon game and i couldnt use fly, or get back to early game areas so i caught this thing and it flew me everywhere lmao. I thought it was hilareous a flightless bird was flying me and it elevated its prestige in my mind. Love doduo, top 20 pokemon for sure.

I was playing a Romhack (it was just allowing pokemon to evolve without trades and added a few new pokemon) I decided that play through to get a Magnemite since Ive never used them before and its typing was kinda what I needed. They were very solid part of my team, and I find the design oddly appealing also not just seeing it as 3 Magnemites despite that being what it is

If you're decreasing it's BP because of low hp, you might need to remember that it also got sturdy as an ability (gen 2 onwards) which guarantee Magnemite to survive at least 2-hit.

I can't agree with that 1* rating on design. Sure, the design is somewhat bland but nicely executed. The fact that it got tremendous defense is properly portrayed on the design, that's what I call a good design. Also, it didn't float, but barely standing(wobbling) using it's tail. I think you went too harsh on your subjectivity here, it should get at least 3*.

Magnemite in some ways resembles Geodude: He is in almost every game not because of the big hype, like it's were with Magicarp, Psydukc or Pikachu. It simply fills the place of the Iron Pokémon, because there are few metal Pokémon. The same can be said about Geodude, he is just a cave mon
