Moin. Habe jetzt dieses und das erste Video der Reihe gesehen. Deine Videos ist vom Content her gut, allerdings etwas gezogen; Falls du kein Script hast solltest du dir eins schreiben. Außerdem könntest du durch vernünftigen Schnitt die Videolänge um bestimmt ein Drittel bis die hälfte kürzen. Es ist für uns als Zuschauer nicht sehenswert wenn dein PC gerade nichts tut und laggt. Ebensowenig wenn du gerade überlegst wo jetzt der Fehler liegt. Ansonsten aber gut gestaltet und Informativ! Edit: Erstell doch bitte auch noch genauere Timestamps!

I am confused about why don't we just check valid user by simply comparing between current user (by jwt token) vs current path, does additional query to DB is redundant in this case?

Hm... what is the point of even using docker if you have to install nest and node and NPM on the host in order to configure it? Isn't the whole objective of docker to make the host environment irrelevant?

Thanks. You solved a problem for me that I'd been stuck on for hours: the volume mounting directory in docker-compose.yaml has to be the same as the working dir in the dockerfile (duh)

If you experience this error in the UserService file , in the findOne(id: number) method"Argument of type '{ id: number; }' is not assignable to parameter of type 'FindOneOptions<UserEntity>'. Object literal may only specify known properties, and 'id' does not exist in type 'FindOneOptions (etc)", instead of passing only "{ id }" use the typorm's "where" keyword like this: findOne(userId: number): Observable<User> { return from(this.userRepository.findOne( { where: {id: userId} } )); } . I have changed the argument's name in the method just to avoid future confusion when going back to that function.

If I put some wrong password with the correct email, it send me the token likewise... In the server console appears this message, the compare method looks like a promise, ... If you're getting a compilation error at 18:11 with author: userId, use author : { id: userId} instead

To fix the compilation error at 24:00 in the findByUser function, rephrase the statement like this - instead of author: userId use author: { id: userId }

hello, idk when you will see this but i hope very soon I already have a project, with nestjs and angular ( no docker, i don't want to use docker yet but its in the plans, if i have the time for it) basically ive been stuck for a few days now and time is running out for me, my future quite literally depends on this project, if i don't have it by the 15th of june im going to fail, and failing will send me in a spiral because i no longer have the money to afford redoing the year which is extremely expensive where i'm from, and having a chat in the project is extremely important for me I want to include this with my already existent user entity and auth I'm really lost and i've found no one to help if its possible for you to help me figure this out, i'm not really that good with angular and nestjs but it required for me to use them for this project Any possibility for us to get into contact?

I don't have the access token in localStorage when i inspect it, in postman it works !! Do you have an Idea about the problem please !!!

why would we pass whole 'user' to the userService 'login' method / userController 'login' method, if we only need 'email' and 'password' anyway? Or is it just a preference?
